   Been ordering takeaways from Shama for the past few years. I’ve never had a bad order and always arrive before or on time. My order is always the same, great portion sizes, always been hot and yummy!

   The food was cold and horrible. No taste or flavour whatsoever. No response from the restaurant when we called to ask where the food was. HORRIBLE FOOD. HORRIBLE SERVICE. AN INSULT TO INDIAN CUISINE!!!!!

   Absolute poor service! Food was multiple hours late and the standard was poor at best. How can such an inauthentic business maintain such a reputation. Not to mention lying on Just Eat about their malpractice. Worst meal we’ve ever had. Poor professionalism and how dare you evade responsibility by blatantly lying about the events of the preparation and delivery. As an Indian and as any self respecting human, this was an insult of a meal. Never ordering or ever considering this travesty of a ‘restaurant’. For a restaurant that takes so long to deliver food, they respond to their just eat reviews quicker. Tasteless slimy bland food, NEVER ORDER FROM HERE.

   We were in the area and saw that Shama had a great vegan menu so got a takeaway. The food was ready quickly and tasted fabulous. We had the dupiaza, methi and mushroom rice and we’d order them again without hesitation. Such a great place to get a curry that has a dedicated vegan menu.

   We collected our order in person from the shop that’s got an impressive look. Service was very pleasant. But it went downhill from there. The chutneys and poppadoms were like those from the supermarket. The onion bhaji was reasonable but the veggie samosa was quite disappointing- mostly potato. The prawn dhansak was the worst I’ve ever tasted. The sauce was very runny and there was no depth of flavour. Sorry but not a place I’d return to.

   Delivery was over 1.5h late, the whole time the delivery estimate for new orders didn't change. No communication. Blamed traffic but Google Maps showed that to be a lie. Didn't even throw in any freebies to apologize (except the warm salad!). Don't rely on them if you want your food quickly, despite their advertised timings. Feel like the delivery charge should be refunded when it's so late... The food was good, still warm, but not hot.

   !!! Not able to review food as they didn't deliver my order.Contacted and they stated they rang my mobile and my buzzer to the flat so I would respond but unfortunately these were lies. They then stated Just Eat advised they should leave the food outside.Given I live in a block of flats not the smartest move. Shama just said it was my fault. Given the order was only £13 pound you would have thought they would have do e the honourable thing and refunded my money but alas not to be. SHAME ON YOU SHAMA I WONT BE USING YOU AGAIN. THE FOOD IS GOOD IF THEY BOTHER TO TAKE THE TIME TO ACTUALLY DELIVER IT!!!!

   We made a quite order on deliveroo with at least 8 curries. First of all food came 2 hours after order. Even for a big order this is long time. By the looks all good looked delicious but when tasting it didn’t have any flavor at all. We rang to ask them to make it spicy it was not. All the curries tasted alike and didn’t have enough flavor, salt etc. quite disappointing.

   The food were ok but the delivery was horrible! We ordered £30 food and the delivery time was 2.5 hours late according to their estimated time. We called the restaurant 5 times and they keep telling us it’s on the way and arriving in 5-10 minutes, but of course it’s not! I rather you guys being honest or at least notice me that you gonna be late, instead of wasting my time and disappointing me again and again! If the owner saw this review, I will highly recommend you just use the ubereat for delivery service instead of using whoever you are using now. I’m paying £2 for delivery anyway I don’t mind paying a few pennies more but at least to have my food on time! (Uber eat delivery service usually charge £2.29) Food-wise, the salad was warm. The butter chicken tikka and meat samosa was actually pretty good but the rest were so so. The curry don’t comes with rice and no utensils were given as requested.
