What can help make the nice ambiance in this shack & the good (not spectacular) food even better is if the staff (particularly the middle aged white guy & woman around mid-20s) can show a little more care and improve his service & communication. He just didn’t seem like he’s bothered to treat us nicely at all. It’s a place people go to enjoy friends/family time. Don’t ruin it with negative energy. It does not take much to make people feel welcome.

What a great little hidden gem. We went for dinner and it did not disappoint. The staff are all so friendly. We brought our dog who also was well looked after. We started with scallops and oysters. For main we had mussels which I needed dairy free, no problem at all and still full of flavour. My husband had sea bass which was cooked to perfection. Sadly we was too full to try any desserts. We will definitely be returning again and recommending to any friends who head this way.

We had such a delicious meal at this lovely cozy place, make sure to make phone reservation in advance as it's always busy specially around weekends and bank holidays. Parking could be an issue as well. Bring less cars if you are big crowd. The crew were amazing, so friendly and patient to take our order, which was later served with smiles and care, food was fresh, hot and super delicious. Make sure to check the catch of the day board in your way in. Thank you for such lovely meal.

Really lovely spot - staff were really friendly but quite slow. Loved the oysters but if you love oysters, recommend just going raw dog with a vinaigrette rather than drowning in sauce. The bbq fish looked delicious and the octopus tostada was incredible!!!

We enjoyed a lovely meal at this family-friendly restaurant on a recent holiday in Devon. The fish was all freshly barbecued and the outdoor covered seating was perfect for a summer evening. Would recommend this quirky restaurant if you’re visiting the area.

The decor suits the name - it's quite unusual and colourful. We had a warm welcome from the staff, who were very friendly, and the food was yummy. I also loved the beach bucket to put the bits of lobster shell in.

Unbelievable food. Osyters are to die for - loved the selection of toppings! Service is super friendly - we felt at ease right away. If you've booked the 7/7.30pm sitting, don't worry they don't close at that time!

We visited earlier in the week and food and service were so amazing we came back again. Quality and freshness of seafood was amazing, crab and prawn tacos and local oysters delicious as starters and the lobster and crab were amazing. Staff really friendly and fun plus a lovely relaxed setting, can't wait to come back

This was lunch before heading home after our weeks holiday spent in a lovely cottage in Kingston. The food was fantastic. The sea bream was so fresh. It tasted so good. Cooked to perfection. The mussels were excellent. The prawns in garlic butter was very nice - even my son liked it and he never usually have this! Seafood croquettes were also very good. My son who don't usually eat fish that much either, unless we ask him to eat it, loved the pan fried Pollock. It was a surprise to us. I think it was the freshness of the fish that did it. He finished the The whole piece of fish by himself. The service was excellent as well. We sounded it of with ice cream which we also enjoyed. This restaurant was recommended by our cottage and I also fully recommend it to anyone who are in the vicinity.
