Fantastic quality, quantity and value for money food. Absolutely delicious and highly recommend. The 2/3 course menu specials are amazing value.

Highly recommended. Me & my friends had a fantastic experience yesterday. Staff were so friwndly, even helped us taking photos of our group. Food was great, mind you, don't come here with full tummy coz portions are huge (we had to take home some of it). If you are seafood lover, this is the place. Will book again.

Amazing food and great service. We'd definitely come back again. The only issue we found was that the tables were very close together so it was very hard to get in and out of the seats.

We searched for lunch in Plymouth looked at the new bit which all seemed quiet so proceeded to the barbican and choose the place that looked like everyone knew about ‘Village Seafood’ it didn’t have the glitz and glam no flashing lights or big promotional stuff outside but it had people! Lots of them so what do they all know that we currently did not…. Greeted straight away, given a table and menu which was actually three menus quite vast selection. I opted for Greek then changed my mind to seafood settled on a mixed grill then ordered Greek. If you are indecisive make sure you allocate more time here. I was swayed by the table next to me having moussaka as it looked superb. My partner who’s a catch went for the cold seafood which she received in abundance personally sometimes seafood I find it to be a little small for me but this plate was full so much so I had to assist. During this time I observed other plates and food envy is high everything just looked amazing not that I would have swapped mine I just wished I could eat 6 or 7 plates… as mentioned it’s not dazzling here there’s nothing spectacular about the place like the other ‘fancy’ big chain restaurants we looked into but they don’t need it. It’s all about the food which was spectacular and for me if I’m going out eating it’s my only concern to be honest I don’t feel they are trying to impress they are just doing food and doing it very well that it impresses you as standard. You want good food here it is. The service I also thought was great very attentive we were serviced very well only slight issue was with the amount of head on the beer, we asked, they fixed, problem solved. I would say prices were good too, living in Newquay where your stung as a tourist everyday it was nice to be a tourist and be saving money whilst vastly improving the quality and experience. I am looking forward to returning who knows what I will go for next… we all know it’s fish…pie.. of the day..pasta definitely something from the menu and of no doubt it will be great.

We went to The Village on a Tuesday night and I could personally not rate this place higher. Firstly the food was incredible, it is a bit pricy but the price is in ratio to the quality and taste. Service was probably the best I've seen in a while, both waiter and waitress were very helpful and polite. The atmosphere was quiet although it was mid week. (Which I would recommend). In summary, had the best experience. 100% would recommend.

Came here tonight for a meal with my friend and I couldn't recommend it more! Amazing food, the staff are so sweet and attentive, and we didn't have to wait long between courses at all. I had the peppered chicken which was one of the nicest meals I've eaten out in a long while, the potatoes are incredible and the veg was lovely. Not too expensive either which was a nice surprise given the quality of the food and the area. Thank you so much and thank you for the brilliant service!

One of the best restaurants iv ever been to! I travel around a lot with my job and have ate in my many restaurants. This restaurant is up there with the best! Portion sizes are massive and the food is absolutely delicious. We came here with a local who recommended this place and then I came again the next time I was in Plymouth and both times it was excellent. The waitress was there both times. Super efficient and friendly lady with dark hair! I had the fisherman’s platter on both visits and it does not disappoint! I always have a couple of oysters but on this occasion they were sold out! Never mind as my meal left me absolutely stuffed anyway! Great option of a lunch and dinner set menu! Great value, amazing staff and delicious food

Such a friendly and professional approach! Extremely helpful and caring. Portions massive, menu very versatile and everyone will find many delicious dishes there. BEST TOMATO SOUP YOU WILL EVER TRY!!!❤ Place packed amd we were so lucky to be able to sit there and enjoy our holiday Sunday dinner there. Thank you for having us and making this challenging time for me as easy as it could be, eating out with 3 kids, even when well behaved is never a relaxing time for a parent! Thank you and i will be back for a glass of wine... or two, very soon!

The best place in Plymouth to try some of a good quality seafood. We've had a pasta with seafood (lots of it: mussels, prawns, baby squids, calamari nd scallops) and scallops in a creamy sauce, served with the fries (actually fried potato slices). Everything was cooked to perfection, the portions were so big we've had to have it to go. The staff was very friendly. The place worth every penny :)
