Honey chilli beef best in the country crisp not like other Chinese you think they coated in wallpaper paste
Great little Chinese. Never an issue. I went for the honey chilli chicken fried rice curry sauce with chicken balls. No complaints was delicious! Ordered on a Friday night and was ready within 10mins for collection
Would not have given any stars for food if this was an option far to greasy a very small portion of what was supposed to be fried rice but wasn't fried! Worse Chinese have had in a, long time Took near fifty mins to come but seemly there was traffic hold ups. And to expensive for want it was £17.20 for a chicken chow mein with rice
This was my usual spot for a Chinese until today. First my food was late when I called guy on the phone said "it's just left" it took 15 minutes since the Chinese is 5 minutes away?? When it eventually came my duck pancakes had no sauce, so I called and the guy was cheeky to me and tried to palm me off. Then said are you sure you want it basically trying to get me to say no it's OK.
Terrible food, kids portions for adults prices. Terrible. The smell of the gravy was terrible and the chicken was under cooked. Never again and I will be telling everyone I know to stay away. Go to Asian star if you want a good Chinese!
I should have listened to the reviews, shameful low quality bad tasting food, 0 care or respect for customers sending this stuff out for consumption, The thai curry tastes funky not in a nice way, covered in a layer of pure oil, the crispy salt and chilli chicken is not crispy, however tastes ok, onions uncooked in both of the dishes, chips are oddly flavorless and drenched in oil with a floppy mush texture. Shameful for the price, a ready meal would of cost a fith of the price and would of been better. At least the delivery guy was nice I guess
Moved away from this Chinese about 5 years ago and missed the place. Got something out of it today it's insanely over priced the portions are really small and it didn't taste good at all I couldn't even finish it. It's definitely not the same place it used to be
Second time ordering Beef & green pepper and black bean sauce . Never again I decided to give it another go .... beef like jelly did not taste like meat at all. We would have always bought are takeaway from New Century but this will be the last. I can only assume they are buying cheap meat products and marinating it +++until the meat looses texture / form and becomes jelly like it texture ....it also had a fishy smell . Truly awful Avoid
If no stars was an option it would have been my choice. Mixed grill bought 2nd January 2022. Will never buy from new century again. Pork chop tough as old boots, steak strange taste, bacon raw, liver undercooked and mushy inside, chips inedible and lastly gravy and peas tasteless. At £9.50 it was a rip off. Sausage was the only decent bit of mixed grill. Put the mixed grill outside even the cats and birds wouldn't eat it.
