Just back from ordering at the business. Took a dander there and didn't wanna walk back cause I didn't quite get what I asked for. Had ordered beef in black bean sauce, fried rice and spring rolls . Received beef in black bean sauce, NOODLES, spring rolls. And the spice level is almost overpowering. Not tasted black bean sauce this spicy before. I see older reviews claiming the food was bland. I'm guessing they are trying to find the sweet spot with flavour but it's too much this time for this customer. The beef was melt in the mouth though I'll give them that!! Perfect Atmosphere ... no music etc. Just silence. Awkward silence at that and one fella I assume is the delivery driver staring me up and down. Service ... As expected and wasn't busy. So yeah, overpowering spice this time
Ordered Combination meat with vegetables which came with free steamed rice. Vege spring rolls. Was a good size and well packaged. They don't accept card. Would go back again.
Food quality was horrendous. Overcooked, dry and cold. When I called the restaurant to make them aware of this issue they told me 'this is how we do it' you make your food overcooked dry and cold? He then told me it was my fault that I didn't like it and hung up the phone, both the food and customer service is some of the worst I've ever seen! !! AVOID HERE AT ALL COSTS !! Many other Chinese's to get a good meal from but that's certainly not here!!
I have used this restaurant a lot and always go out of my way to order direct from them instead of Just Eat, so that all the money goes to them. The food is usually very good. However last time we rang to say they made a mistake and the guy initially told us we had to bring the food back ourselves(!). When we said we weren't going back out in the rain, the guy said he would "try" to send the delivery driver out with the correct item, but we had to give them back the bag of chips they had mistakenly given us! In many years of ordering takeaways I have never had a business expect this from a customer. So it's very disappointing because I love the food, but the customer service is abysmal at Manning Inn. Incidentally a similar mistake happened at Andersonstown Pizza Guys not long ago - they sent chips instead of the side we had ordered. They immediately apologised and sent the correct item.
Recently had my first carry out from here since student days, some 40 years ago. The 5 star hygiene rating, spotless interior, exhaustive menu, and keen prices make this place a no brainer for Chinese food on this end of the Lisburn Road. Food is tasty and very professionally packaged. It was great back then and it's great now!
Impressive menu, cooked to order. Friendly, food tastes really good... and decent size portions...got another fried rice with chicken Hong Kong style and prawn crackers for later on. Spare ribs in Peking sauce were yummy. Definitely go again...
