   We visit this restaurant at least once a year when we are in Devon. The food is tasty and plentiful. Max is very attentive making sure you always have a glass of something topped up and warm bread on the table. You are not rushed whilst dining here and you can spend as little or as long as you like eating your meal. The food is freshly prepared and as such takes a little while to arrive between courses which I like because it gives you a little breathing space. Always a great experience. Book in advance to avoid being disappointed

   Finally we were able to book a table and visit La Scala. Well what can I say, there are not many words to describe how good the food and service is here. We had beers and a bottle of wine and it was very reasonable at £70. I have posted some photos and will leave it there. If you are lucky enough to get to try this restaurant then you will appreciate a review is pointless as the experience is 5star. Hopefully we will get chance to visit again if not we are very jealous of you .

   We visited here for our wedding anniversary meal, what a fantastic night we had the food was superb and so was the service Our table was decorated for us along with a card what a lovely surprise and so thoughtful Our food was amazing my husband had the chicken and I had whole seabass both delicious We will definitely be back when in paignton thankyou for a lovely evening

   One of the best meals of our lives! My partner had a foodgasm with the first spoonful of her starter. All courses were delicious and incredibly filling. The owner (and his helper daughter) were fantastic. If we could have booked the following night, we would. We will definitely return when back in the area.
