   Could not recommend the place enough. Absolutely fantastic 10/10 Food was incredible. Best Italian food I’ve had in the UK. Super reasonable pricing and a lovely service from the owner herself. Spent some time after talking about the area and where her family live in Italy. Cannot wait to come and visit again. Make sure to call up and book a table to avoid missing out.

   So we looked at the reviews and booked a table. It did not disappoint friendly and small - good wine list! And amazing home cooked food. With some great specials and a tiramisu that was just perfect. Lovely, warm place with amazing food! Thank you !!

   What a surprise... we couldn't get into La Scala and they recommended Mediterrano. I don't normally rave about things but this was the best food we have had for as long as I can remember. This is a small family run restaurant with amazing food. The chef Yani is from Turin and his wife Alexandra was from Rome. It was like have a private chef. It felt like being in a small restaurant abroad, the ones only locals know about! We had a fantastic starter of melon and parmesan ham, goats cheese and sun dried tomatoes. The mains were both of the specials board... swordfish and a prawn linguine.... both were lovely.. my daughter was made so welcome and she had an amazing fresh pizza that was difficult for me to not help her...:) If you are in Paignton you must not miss this if you like Italian food.... but be careful... it's small and you might not get in.. give them a call first.. Thank you Yani and Alexandra for a super meal that was a real surprise, value for money.. top quality... wish they were closer to home as we would be visiting more often.

   Mediterraneo Cafe in Paignton is such a lovely find. The family makes you feel really welcome as soon as you walk in, and the pizzas are super tasty—probably the best I’ve had in ages. Definitely save room for the pistachio cheesecake; it’s incredible. Feels like having a bit of Italy right here in sunny Devon.

   * dog friendly * Lovely find. Authentic Italian at a reasonable price. We're here out of season and they are fully booked on a Thursday night. The food was delicious and the service super friendly. Don't go anywhere else in Paignton if you want a delicious meal.

   Absolutely fantastic food and service, any kind of antipasto they do is lovely for sharing and starters. Their carbonara is as authentic as can be to the original and tastes amazing. Very cosy atmosphere with friendly staff.

   We had our wedding meal with family at Mediterraneo, and it was absolutely fantastic! Delicious food (Some of the best Italian cuisine I have ever tasted), excellent options for vegetarians, lovely homely atmosphere and fantastic service. Could not reccomend Mediterraneo enough!
