   Nice old traditional Bangor pub with a lovely open fire and good beer. Food was ok and no proper craft beer, but it was dog friendly which was brilliant.. I don’t understand why more pubs aren’t dog friendly in Bangor?

   Visited here with a friend I was staying with in Bangor. We found the pub had a lovely atmosphere and the waiter serving us was lovely. I ordered the lasagne, which was deliciously prepared however maybe a little overdone but still tasty. My friend had the steak ciabatta, the temp was perfect and both our plates were scraped. Would certainly return for another visit to this local pub.

   Staff were really pleasant. Food was not very warm once again, plates didn't seem to be heated up. Great alcohol but not too Keen on the cooking once again.

   Food was amazing. Place was too loud, had drunk men and women standing all over the place during the day.. so even tho the food was amazing we couldn't get to enjoy it. Women kept looking over giving dirty looks, was very uncomfortable.

   My friend and I went for lunch on 14.11.22. The place was so dark that it was hard to read the menu and there were old beer mats lying on the floor. My lasagne was rock hard and my friend's chicken was the same. We declined their offer of free desert and they didn't even adjust the bill to make up for the awful food. Never again !

   Had a nice meal here when over in Bangor for a few days. Staff was friendly and the food was well presented and tasted great. Had the breaded brie followed by the burger. Would recommend both.
