Went in for a Sausage supper, first time there. Good impressions straight away. Old charm. Ordered sausage super. Seen the legend putting something I didn't recognise into the fryer, round and about 6 by 2 inches. A pastie he says... Ye wanna try it. He gave me it without taking coin. Legend. Here is my impression of the mighty free pastie...

I had an excellent and abundant fish supper here. Plenty of fish, perfectly cooked in a light tasty batter. Scruchy crisp chips too. Roll up. You'll love it !!

Make sure you cherish this place while you have it, because there aren't too many left. Beautiful service, food and amazing throwback.

Eddie Spence's Fish and Chips - the best you will find anywhere. I've been going here since I was a kid and it hasn't changed. It looks the same and the quality is the best whatever you order. Fish is in a lovely golden batter and the chips are as the German Captain said he wanted in Dads Army " crisp und light brown." Simply the best there is.

Best Fish and Chips in Northern Ireland. Classic spot although quite small. Check the times before you go as they close after lunch and reopen again for dinner. The pastie (deep friend meat pie) was a nice surprise too.
