Popped in for our first visit to this gem of a place last night, pre gig HPA. Excellent beer in a pub with a lovely atmosphere, will definitely be back.
We are landlords from Nottingham spending the week here on a course just over the road at the marstons branch and we needed somewhere to relax on an evening after a day full of exams. First impressions of the outside of the pub was that old school local community look! 1st off they had my favourite drink ever! There's only 1 pub in Notts that sell mango lillys so I'm defo here for the next 3 nights,,every single local has sat with us and made us feel welcome but the owner and his wife has sat with us numerous times,even sharing cigarettes like we've been here our whole life,were hungry and far from home and don't know our way round,there pointing us to local businesses. Iv never felt so welcome and I hope and pray this is the vibe I give off in my own pub. I will be back here tomorrow after my class and Friday to cheak out there karaoke so will happily report on that. But I already know it's all gunna be great. There's no staff here tonight but the 2 owners so both of you well done..keep up the hard work.i also want to add the 1st thing I noticed was how very clean everything was..the tables are shiny. I'd love to know there secrate...nice to meet you both xx Adam and Jemma xxx
I work away from home, was in the area and came across this pub, it’s. Great pub, landlord is a true gentleman, all staff are super friendly , beer is great, great atmosphere, highly recommend, enjoy a nice beer and a game of pool

Me & my husband was going to kks steelmill, called in at the plough and harrow, we were made very welcome, the landlord & landlady, staff & customers were very friendly. We will definitely be back.
