   Over charged me for work and labour. Wheel nuts, brake calliper's & gearbox sump were all left loose. If my car wasn’t due for MOT a month later, where they picked up on the loose gearbox sump and loss of fluid. I believe the gearbox would’ve seized. When I collected the car, 3 miles down the road the EML came on and you could smell the fuel coming out of the exhaust pipes. Took it straight back to them, and had to wait another hour for them to sort it out. After my MOT I took it back to so they could sort out the gearbox leak. I asked why it was leaking, they wouldn’t give me a concrete answer/ explanation. Bearing in mind I’m an ex-mechanic myself. A simple gearbox service( fluid, filter& gasket) shouldn’t result in a leak, unless you haven’t fitted the gasket correctly and torqued all the bolts. I advise them that there was a slight misfire and the said the didn’t find anything. When I checked the engine I found 3-4 coil packs that required replacing. I’ll be honest I’m not sure if they changed the spark plugs. I’ve been so busy with work I haven’t had a chance to remove and inspect them. Spent £1600 on a full engine, gearbox and rear differential service, plus an engine flush. In hindsight it would’ve been more beneficial to send it in to Mercedes main dealership and spend the extra £500/600 and have piece of mind. P.s I thought it was odd that they claimed to be a Mercedes, Rolls Royce & Bentley specialist…

   After being messed over by another Mercedes specialist these guys were absolutely amazing, had my car in at 8:30am it was done by 1:00pm all fixed at a great price best in a professional manner. I will never use another Mercedes Benz specialist apart from these and all the quotes I got from Mercedes Benz specialist these guys were the best priced. 10/10 experience I had with these guys

   If you have a Mercedes Benz motor car then you need to get down to this garage. Very honest reliable mechanics that do not cost the earth. 30% cheaper then mercedez round the corner and they only fit what is required. Extremely helpful and knowlegeble staff. Have been using Castec for more than 5 years now and wouldnt go anywhere else. Highly recommended.

   Amazing service. Had an error message come up from another national garage, said they could not diagnose it properly. Called Mercedes Benz, they asked for £100 before anything could be looked at. Fred and his team are welcoming and down to Earth people. It is obvious why Castec has been around for years now. Honest and resolved in half a day. Will definitely use again. They use the proper Star testing kit. If you own a Mercedes, check them out. Thank you Fred.

   Over charges! First time and last time i will go there, he damaged my bumper & parked it so i couldn't see it when picking it up, doesn't give you a quote so he can charge for stuff thats should be cheap, avoid at all cost. shop around, because you will find a better price for the same work
