I bought some item in bulwell matalan. Firstly I confirm the offer on laundry basket, the other lady said its 11 pouns but on till they change me 14 pounds. Secondly I bought one set of baby on 50% off but the lady charged me twice. I don’t know she scanned double or what she did. Really disappointed.
Ordered a few bits online including a pair of black fluffy slippers. I took the tags off and wore them in the house (on carpets) they were cozy but I noticed fluff coming off them and going everywhere! I decided to take them back today. There were two ladies serving. The lady that served me was nicer out of the two. She said because I’ve taken the tags off I won’t be able to have a refund, which is fair enough. However what really annoyed me was when she asked the other woman on the next till if that was the case, she replied “I wouldn’t” meaning she would not give me a refund or exchange!!! She said this in a condescending way knowing I could hear her!!! I had the receipt and how was I to know that the fluff would go everywhere in only half an hour of wearing them!! I had every intention of keeping them that’s why I took the tags off!! I said if I can’t have a refund I should at least be able to exchange them! Then another lady was called, (I believe she was a manager) was nicer and agreed I could exchange them for another pair. I will NEVER buy anything from Matalan in store or online again!! I’ll take my business somewhere else where the staff are not rude!
Didn't buy anything on this visit. Didn't have what I wanted or wasn't in the right size so I've had to order online and pay delivery which is annoying. Store is always clean. They were doing some work on the shutters when I attended. Plenty of parking
There are too many clothes for the kids which are very short themselves with long sleeves. It is very hard to find normal clothes for the girl.
The staff here are nice and helpful but the store itself is a shambles. There were clothes and other items scattered all over the floor in several places and my wife's walking stick kept slipping on them. This is very concerning from a health and safety point of view.
We went to Matalan store in Bulwel in the afternoon. The place was not crowded. We had an excellent customer service. The place is also wheelchair accessible. Another advantage is that this store has a lot parking spaces. It is also near to Bulwel Forest Tram stop (it is about 4 minutes walk). Apart from different types clothes and shoes for all ages groups, the place is well stocked with other household items :kitchen items, bathroom items, storage units, children toys and many more . I would recommend this place.
Poor selection for men. Bought mens shorts for £15 so not particularly cheap. Material utter rubbish. Not accidentally ripped or snagged, just gave way. Returned, replaced. Same thing happened. Both occasions within two weeks. Sorry Matalan but carry on selling rubbish you Will loose customers.
