    Good shop, large sized, two floors, huge car park and wheelchair friendly. The have so many thing on offer here seasonal decorations, party supply's, toys, electronics, home decor, food, clothes, jewellery, a pharmacy and even a cafe. If you can't find it here is be shocked.

    As useless as is possible. We are a long time customer of Asda and buy food from them every week and get it delivered. We tried today to buy some furniture for our patio. The order was completed using the same American Express card we normally use for the food shopping and we got the email through saying order accepted.......followed shortly after by an email saying it was now cancelled as payment couldn't be taken. I called American Express who told me that it had been approved. I called Asda who said they had cancelled it as we were a fraud risk! They then said they would set up an investigation and get back to me...........meanwhile all the furniture we want is selling out fast. They couldn't guarantee we would get the furniture we have ordered even though I asked if they could simply do their checks and then complete our order. No can do and the various members of the team in whichever country they were based in couldn't really come up with anything at all useful. I shouldn't really get so annoyed but it really does infuriate me when poorly run organisations like this have no solution to get this resolved so we can just get the furniture we ordered. Apparently they will come back to me within 24-48 hours (when all the furniture is sold out).......will wait and see what happens next and report back. Update: no one came back to me so chase up three days later to be told they couldn't tell me why they blocked the payment other than it was flagged as a fraud risk (using the same card as we have used with them every week and have never had an issue with when buying goods/services from all other major retailers). Asked again what would be the solution to be told there wasn't one. It was suggested that maybe I purchase the different pieces of furniture in smaller quantities so I think I have now worked out what the scam is.....there is a delivery charge of £14.95 and by making me split the order down into individual ones, I will have to pay this multiple times. I said I would be happy do this just to get the bloody furniture but by now, all the furniture I originally ordered is now out of stock! Appalling customer services. I asked if I could escalate this to lodging a complaint and was told someone would call me back. Guess what............they haven't! Further update: we have now been told that my credit card has been blocked forever and given no reason other than potential fraud! Spoke to American Express again and they see no reason why this is happening but cannot do anything to change what George have done. So basically, all of the furniture we ordered initially is now out of stock and probably never will be again, George customer services, payment team and complaints department have been absolutely useless and refuse to call me back. This is obviously George now victimising me for no apparent reason because I have dared to complain about their useless service. One more thing, they are happy to still take payments for groceries weekly on the card they say is a fraud risk! You couldn't make this up if you tried. I am guessing this will now be blocked and will happily report back if it is the case.
