I’ve been going to this dentist for years but the last 12 months have been really disappointing. Last year in August 23 I booked an appointment and that was cancelled on the day as the only dentist they have called in sick. Fast forward to my other check up 12 months later and getting Deja vu August 24 booked for today and yet again, Cancelled due to staff sickness due to the only dentist. Either I’m the most unluckiest guy having dentist cancelled everytime I have an appointment or the dentist doesn't employee enough dentists to actually run. I have both times emailed the practice manager Jodie and she does email back but offering an appointment in 7-8 weeks time sorry in any other role if the issue was caused by me it would need to be resolved at earliest convenience and wasn’t until I advise no alteration been made / attempted she offered to put my name on the cancellation list. Each time due to the dentist working hours I need to book days of work so majorly inconvenient. Hopefully it improves but if anyone has any recommendations on nhs dentist I’m willing to try alternatives.

I'm a private client and have been going here for over 25 years. The service I have received has always been first class, and I would recommend this surgery to anyone. I find that I am seen very close to the time that I have booked my appointments and during my last few visits the staff have been very welcoming and they always have time for a little chat too which is a nice touch. It's in a convenient location, with parking at the rear as well as a couple bus stops right outside of the location.

A family member used to come here, but after a host of bad experiences that left them in tears (they're Autistic with mental health issues and the surgery knows this) we had to find another dentist. Unless you can pay for treatment you will be treated very different to someone who is, like our family member, on the NHS and doesn't have to pay. The discrimination and attitude is clear between the two... No understanding or empathy. Only one dentist they saw was nice enough to be calm and answer any questions. Shame he couldn't have dealt with my family member, as she was at ease with him. It was more the female dentists that were an issue... So because of that they were left in discomfort, ignored and not told how to do things i.e how to look after their immediate partial denture or have it replaced at the time the dentist stated to (who then proceeded to dismiss the questions my family member had) come out in for and not even do the prep for... No guidance either. This is where Google had to come in to help! Seriously, Google. We understand things are tough after COVID, but to treat patients with disdain and apathy making them feel useless, a burden and depressed isn't professional. If you don't know how to deal with patients like my family member, then hire people who do. If you're on the NHS free treatment, have mental health issues and Autistic, avoid. Unless it's a final choice.

As someone who is very anxious, I was greeted with patience and kindness straight away. They had a puppy in reception who is hopefully going to be used as a therapy dog (greatest thing ever). The dental surgeon was great with me. She spoke to me and calmed me down before checking my teeth and talked me through the whole process, even asking what music I’d like on to relax me. Considering this was my first appointment and experience here, I was very pleased.

I came to the dentist today for my booked appointment at 3.20pm woth my daughter to get orthodontics referral. Ive been told by the dentist ( the only one apparently they have to see children) that we cant be referred again because there is one referral already on the system. He hasn't check check my daughter teeth at all. Dentist advise me to go back to reception and ask them to contact orthodontist and check what is going on with my daughter referral. The receptionist check the system and find out that my daughter dont have anything booked and she need to be referred again. So ive asked to go back to the dentist and get it all sorted. Ive been informed that its impossible because he don't have time today and i need to book another appointment. ?????Well maybe if he would do it at the appointment booked time there will be no issue. Then its gone better- receptionist said that my daughter shouldn't been see by the dentist today as she has been double and mistakenly booked for today over another patient and thats why she wont be seen?! Why is my child less important than any other person? I didnt chosen appointment time they they did book me in!!This is a joke. Manager came downstairs taken dentist site, she even went to see him and ask to do check on my daughter unfortunately without any results. It looks like that does day the patient that have to follow all procedures, come on the apartment time, be lovely to the staff etc have no right whats so ever also a manager is obviously nothing and no one important to make the decision. If i wont follow them procedure i will be kick out from a detal practice but they can do whatever the want. A manager even said that if im not happy with them i can go somewhere else - what a amazing attitude towards a patient! They have given excuses that there is a massive shortage on dentist etc. Dont know what that got to do with a fact that i came for a booked appointment but it looks like any excuse are good them days.

My dentist gave me a teeth whitening kit to use at home I can honestly say in just a matter of two weeks I’ve now got extremely white teeth. It is an easy process with no discomfort at all it’s well worth it. I am very satisfied with the results I can’t stop smiling and looking in the mirror. My self confidence has grown I feel comfortable and would definitely recommend this kit. Thank you Preethika for giving me the treatment and for your expertise advice.
