   Appalling customer service, I used the store for the last 20 years for my childrens school shoes and I have never experienced such awful service as I did this last week. Poorly fitted shoes causing pain, deep red marks and discomfort for my SEND child and staff refused to exchange or refund. The Sales assistants tone was very aggressive and patronising and my elderly mother was spoken to in such a manner that I have raised a formal complaint direct with Clark’s. I would highly suggest going elsewhere for your children’s shoes.

   I popped into the Newark store today with a Down syndrome gentleman who I am a support worker for and the store assistant went above and beyond to help him with great respect and understanding of his needs . He felt very comfortable and I also did because she treated him equally and spoke to him and not through me . The size of shoe required not in stock so advised on ordering etc . I didn’t catch her name but she is a great asset to the store. Thanks again . Service like that goes a long way .

   Our son has had all of his first sets of shoes and first pair of wellies from here and we wouldn't go anywhere else. Each time Lorna has welcomed us all in (including the dog) and has been extra helpful in making sure our sons shoes fit his growing feet properly and always send us away with the best pair for him. There's a great selection and it's never too much hassle especially with a toddler. She's fantastic with him too! I'll always recommend Clarks for anyone with toddlers and young children.

   Great staff and I mean great. Couldn't do enough for me. My size wasn't available but they ordered me a pair and said that if I didn't want them it was ok. Shoes arrived in a few days and were perfect. There was a sale on but not much in my size but good reductions.

   Very good covid measures in place with hand sanitizer outside the store and an attendant on the door. Staff were very friendly and helpful but.... Felt like I was being sold a used car - every niggle my child had with the (only) pair of shoes she tried on, (only because that was the only choice she had) the assistant had an answer for. Felt a bit like the hard sell. They've also got an offer on for NHS staff as a thank you for our hard work- 20% off BUT you can't use it on children's shoes because there's no VAT on kids shoes. Urgh!

   Great service with a smile. I must say I was impressed with the service I received this evening. Millie was as patient as could be. I went to collect an online order, which didn't fit. 7 pairs of trying different sizes and styles later, she was still smiling. Offered for me to come back if when I got home, I had doubts with my new purchase. Impressive. Professional. Pleasant. Patient. Amazing service. Thank you Millie.
