   I went to Boux Avenue in Plymouth, I didn't want or ask for a bra fitting, I wanted to choose some different sizes and quietly work it out in the changing room by myself, because I have worn bras for 30 years, have done a lot of research into what make a well fitting bra, and know what I like. The minute I walked in I was pushed into a fitting by a bra fitter who frankly knows absolutely nothing about how bras should fit. I usually wear a 30 or a 32 and was pushed into a 34 and then a 36, which was riding up at the back and clearly was far too big, to the point that I could stretch it away from my body and pointed out that my boobs were coming out from under the underwire. When I expressed this opinion, that it wasn't a comfortable fit and was much bigger the bra fitter kept saying "it's about what you're comfortable with, but as a bra fitter ..." then kept pushing the far too big sizes, essentially making me feel that it was not at all up to me. I felt bullied, pressured, body shamed (because I do have back fat, but that doesn't mean I need a bigger back size) and not listened to, and could easily have cried in the changing room. In the end I walked out and I won't be returning. Boux Avenue needs to train its staff in how to actually fit bras correctly (they didn't measure me, but I measure 32 inches underbust and the adding 4 inches has been proved to be old fashioned for decades now) and also how to actually listen to a customer rather than repeating 20 times that "as a bra fitter" they knew better. She didn’t even measure me, just assumed that because I’m not skinny I couldn’t be a 32. Awful experience.

   The staff here are super friendly and attentive. They recommended deals and helped myself and my friends find the right fit for bras. The changing rooms are perfect with a large mirror, 3 lighting settings, plenty of coat hooks and a big door. It's comforting to change in what feels like your own little room. Boux Avenue has a variety of beautiful underwear (and accessories and pajamas) in plenty of colours and sizes. I recommend!

   Fantastic service. My larger busted daughter has always struggled with getting the right fit. She was helped by staff member soph who was polite,friendly and very helpful. She had a relaxed calming way of making my daughter feel comfortable and confident. 10/10 service

   This review is particularly for the store manager Jo who was extremely kind, understanding and helpful despite the dilemma at hand. About 2 months ago I can to boux avenue for a fitting and immediately from the fitting and continously since I found all the bras I bought were cutting into my sides around my ribs. Unfortunately I live in west Cornwall and today was the first opportunity I had to return to the store and raise the issue I was having. I also have some confusion about the receipt that I swore was emailed but it turns out it wasn't. Jo put me in for another fitting and found the band was fitting as they would recommend but she listened to me. She let me show her the issues I was having, the marks I had gathered and understood my discomfort so she helped me get refitted and agreed to swap my original bras for a band wider that I found far more comfortable. She didnt have to do this, I didnt have a receipt and it had been quite a while. She made a very fair and valid point that if I had rang sooner, even if I was unable to get to them they would atleast be aware of the problem and find it easier to resolve. If anyone has an issues I would suggest to do this, I should have done this. I am massively appreciative to Jo for helping me, I am already far more comfortable and its genuinely taken quite a bit of stress off my mind. She also gave me pointers about strap positioning, and she did this without judgment. I would thoroughly recommend Boux Avenue Plymouth, I wish I had pushed more at the time of my original fit about the discomfort but that is for me to learn from and understand a querk for me that likely does not apply to the majority of people they see. Thank you Jo Also the maid with shiny blue eye shadow and mermaid earrings is absolutely fantastic! Im sorry I didnt catch your name, you really made me laugh when you introduced my partner to the perfume samples.

   Went in to Plymouth store today in Drake Circus to treat myself to a new bra and had the lovely Becca help with my bra fitting. She was so helpful and went above and beyond in helping even though she was very busy. Also thank you to the other girls in there too that were helpful. I come out with two beautiful sets. I will 1000% be coming back to this store again. Thanks

   I’m am disgusted at the service I’ve received from the Plymouth branch. Christmas Eve I popped in for a last minute present for my daughter which ended up being a £100 plus purchase. At the till the young girl serving me tried to upsell what I believe was a defuser, I told her I wasn’t interested and from that point she behaved like a petulant child, she ignored me the rest of the transaction, I even had to ask for a gift box and bag to which she just added it to my order with no acknowledgment whatsoever. Never have I been treated this way by someone supposedly representing a brand front of house. Today, I thought I’d try again thinking my last experience was just Christmas temp staff. Requiring a bra fit for myself I was in store for a while before being asked if I needed help, the lady I spoke to was helpful and passed me to another member of staff for a fitting, we chose some bras in a rough size, I was then taken to the fitting room and told she would hand over to another staff member for fitting, to pop one of the bras on and ring the bell which I did, I was told just a minute, waited a while where I tried on a couple of the other bras then rang again, she then came I explained I was struggling (three and a half weeks post op) she then picked up the next size bra, handed it to me and left me too it, no fitting no service whatsoever so I promptly got dressed and left feeling very frustrated. I was intending on purchasing several new sets of underwear and loungewear today due to being post op but I will never step foot in the Plymouth store again. A lot of training in customer service required here.

   awful experience - I went for a fitting as I have no idea what my size is, I told them my last known size and that was it. No real measuring, no various style choices, no listening to me when I said they were far too tight and almost painful, and no option of trying on other sizes when I asked (so many) times. Looking for bras to try on wasn't an option and the lady literally wouldn't let me out to choose my own. I felt completely ignored and pressured to purchase expensive bras I didn't want. I went away really dissatisfied with my experience; a very ignorant lady and not how customer service should be. Nothing like the Bristol store.

   Great service from the Staff in Boux. Went in for my annual spend on Christmas Gifts for the wife and Kia was on hand every step of the way to show me what I needed. NHS discount is also very good @ 20%

   got measured,, the staff were so lovely and helpful. they reassured you if you had any concerns and they 100% knew what they were doing but if you didn’t agree, they would ensure you felt comfortable and would listen to what you say if you felt the bra was tight etc. the changing rooms were beautiful and absolutely spotless. had different light settings and a call button to ask for help/assistance! the staff were always aware of privacy and would ensure you felt calm the whole time if you were nervous. was served by a lovely girl called Peaches and she gave me lots of tips and pointed out sale items in the shop etc. first time going to the shop and will definitely be retuning :)
