We asked for a cordless garden vacuum as there weren't any in display . Lady assistant asked what make and I said it doesn't matter and I said that expecting to see a few different ones . She bought out one I'd never heard of and expensive so I said have you anything cheaper . She said yes and added we had to buy the battery separately. So we did without being able to view the item sealed in the box with no English writing on it we thought ok this will have to do and I wondered why we were only being shown one at a time . Got it home and there's a battery and charger inside the box anyway and it isn't a vacuum it's just a blower . Hopefully we can get our money back .

I was very disappointed with the service I received at the checkout today. The white British couple ahead of me were greeted warmly and spoken to with friendly pleasantries. When it was my turn, there was no eye contact, no “please,” and no acknowledgement when I thanked the cashier. The white British couple behind me were again spoken to pleasantly and addressed politely. The contrast in treatment was obvious and left me feeling singled out and unwelcome. Everyone deserves to be treated with the same courtesy and respect, regardless of background. It has been a long time since I experienced something like this, It left me quite uncomfortable.

Worst retail experience ever...no trolleys in the trolley bays...they were all filled with stock on the shop floor. When I asked for a trolley I was told they had none, and when I asked how I should transport timber to the checkout, I was told by a staff member' I don't have a solution ' There are obviously training needs, and equipment supply problems in this store, and a lack of effective management. Selco, here I come!

A large Wickes store in Wolverhampton, that is ideal for your DIY needs. Stocking a wide range of products from doors, cement, paint, kitchens, drills, tools, extention leads to garden supplies, etc. It has its own large free parking lot, with disable parking next to the doors. The building is all on ground level, with spacious isles, so it is ideal for any disability. An ideal shop for DIY products.

No public toilets. Needs a larger choice of trolleys, as the only ones available are the great big ones, which are difficult to steer. We parked a trolley with a bag of compost on it, and had a look at the kitchens..... 5 min later, the staff had taken the trolley back, and we had to do it again......!
