Friendly, wonderful staff and an excellent selection of products at good prices. Such a good place to shop
An incredible woman ( i believe her name was Martina- sorry if im wrong) made mine and my mums day! She was so polite when serving us at tills and even jelped us pack our bags whilst scanning the items! We spoke about school and laughed about how much we guessed all the shopping would cost all together! She is such a beautiful woman inside and out- thank you!!
This incident took place around November 2024 at bentley bridge shopping park in wolverhampton. I did not report it at the time, as I could not afford to waste time on it. While I was shopping, a white male staff member—short in height, with a crew cut and wearing a ring on the fourth finger of his left hand—abandoned his assigned shelf-stacking duties after seeing me. He positioned himself at the customer packing area near till 1 and stared at me in an aggressive, confrontational manner. Shortly afterward, an announcement was made for till 7 to open, and I moved there. Despite this, the same individual continued to fix his gaze on me in a similarly aggressive way. An Asian security guard then joined him. The fact that the guard engaged the staff member in conversation suggests he may have recognized that the staff member’s behaviour—leaving his post to monitor a customer—was unusual. Following a brief exchange, the staff member looked away momentarily but soon resumed his staring. A self-checkout assistant named Monique who is consistently courteous towards me, was also present and appeared to notice the situation. However, I cannot speak to her interpretation of events. The entire episode lasted approximately eight minutes. I found the behaviour of this staff member inappropriate. Based on my lived experience, I have often been subjected to baseless accusations or scrutiny, frequently rooted in prejudice. These incidents, disproportionately involving men—both Black and white—have frequently relied on veiled accusations like, “He’s a thief,” as a pretext for discrimination or exclusion. A black security guard wearing a hat who used to work there, always followed me around the store whenever he detected my presence, whilst customers watched the live entertainment. While it would be unfair to judge someone based solely on appearance as in my opinion his features are racist, I assess individuals by their conduct. Given that I’ve been a regular customer at this store for two years, the staff member’s behaviour was both unjustified and reflective of deeper british societal issues. I have never experienced such treatment while living or traveling in Asia.
Excellent fresh produce at great prices. Britain's favourite supermarket, l believe. I do my main shop here regularly, as l find the fresh produce is better quality & fresher than the big brand stores. It lasts so well, we buy both yellow and green bananas, as l don't have to shop so often anymore as it's all so fresh. We also like their pizzas, they compare well with their competitor brands and the sweet chilli chicken is lovely. We didn't like chicken on a pizza until we tried this favour. It's great with a salad. I highly recommend Aldi supermarket, it's excellent value for money.
Very big shop at a strategic location. More than 90% of my shopping comes from Aldi. They sale lots of stuff including fresh fruits, vegetables, bakery products, laundry, baby products, and adults with the likes, etc at affordable prices and good quality. The environment was clean and tidied with friendly and supportive staff.
Went for the first time to have a browse, ongoing picked up afew items compared prices on other items.....Will try again with a weeks shop.....at the moment will rate 3
Can't fault the place, good produce, good prices ....does get busy because of this but worth doing our weekly shop
They must have to do self check in , otherwise big queue long waiting time.
A great Aldi store and a nice addition to the other stores, shops and restaurants in the area. The aldi is nice and open and fully stocked. The special buys are always popular. Staff are friendly and helpful.
