Came in today and was helped by Sami who was really lovely, kind and understanding. I explained to him that I'm new to running, coming back after a major knee injury through sport and needed something really stable with good shock absorption that was going to help me progress with my rehab. I don’t know how long he spent with me but it was a long time. We looked at my gait analysis and tried on multiple different pairs of trainers-each of which he let me try out on the treadmill too to re evaluate whether they’d be good for me. Came away with the perfect pair for me and can’t wait to get running! Can’t fault the service in any way- thank you

I visited Up & Running this morning as I’m fairly new to running, I’ve completed a couple of half marathons, but with no real structure. Rob helped me during my visit and spent around 45 minutes with me, which I really appreciated. He carried out a gait analysis and explained everything clearly, helping me choose the right pair of running shoes. Not only that, he also gave me some really useful tips about running technique, training, and accessories. I felt like he genuinely cared and wanted to help me improve. For anyone starting out or looking to progress with their running, I’d definitely recommend visiting this shop and speaking to Rob. Excellent service Will 100% be back do my 100km running shoes

Had really knowledgeable considered and supportive service from gait analysis and buying some new running shoes. The salesperson also took the time to explain what she was doing to my 8 year old daughter and was really patient with her too. Would recommend.

I’m a complete beginner to running on roads and canal trails, and after a while, I realised my shins were starting to hurt. I decided to go for a gait analysis, and I’m so glad I did! Sami and Mark were amazing — super patient, friendly, and took the time to explain everything clearly. They helped me find the right shoes, and I can already feel the difference in my runs. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone new to running — such a great experience!

Trainers needed for broken ankle recovery. A couple of months ago I broke my ankle in 4 places and am learning to walk again. I was anxious about going to get trainers but I'm so glad I went to Up & Running in Nottingham. It did make laugh walking into a shop called Up & Running using crutches! It was such a welcoming place. Emma was so kind and friendly. She put me at ease straight away. I explained about my injury and she asked what type of shoe I would be looking for (support etc). She had excellent knowledge which helped me realise that my feet need a roomier box toe as I have wide feet and I needed a trainer that wouldn't rub on my hardware (plates and screws). As I've been learning to walk again I have been limping a lot but as soon as I put the trainers on I started walking more smoothly which felt amazing and my toes felt so free! I will be going back to buy some shoes for winter with an even better grip that Emma mentioned. I was very anxious about slipping again but I feel much more confident with these shoes. I left the shop feeling incredibly happy. Thanks, Emma.

Visited the new store a couple of months ago for the first time seeking some new running shoes to replace my old New Balance ones. In store I spoke to Rob and he suggested trying a few different makes although all the same Support Shoe. Over the following hour or so (using the treadmill and foot analysis) we narrowed the choice down to two pairs, one being Asics GT2000 and the other New Balance 860v13's. I decided to go with what I was used to, although it as to be said there was little to choose between them. Great knowledge of the products on offer shown by Rob (many thanks) and decent variety of stock in store. Would definitely recommend a visit and will doubtless be making another myself too.

Visited Up & Running today - what a fantastic experience! Had my gait tested and had lots of advice and support from Rob and the team. Bought two pairs of trainers which I can’t wait to use. Would highly recommend. A really friendly shop and no pressure to buy either. Thanks guys!

I came into the 'new' store the other week in search of a pair of everyday trainers which I could use for the gym, running and wearing out and about. The staff have expert knowledge and really take the time to help you - I think I was served by Harry. I probably spent about 40 mins in the store and left with a wonderful pair of trainers. I have worn my new trainers so much since I got them and they are some of the comfiest trainers I own. I'd definitely recommend going to Up & Running for your next pair of trainers!

We visited the Nottingham store today and was served by Dave. Absolutely fantastic service!!!!He put my wife at ease as it was her first experience having her gait measured. His knowledge and advice was first class. He was so good I even brought myself a new pair or trainers as well. He’s an absolute credit to the company. Would highly recommend a visit to this store.

Went into Up and Running Nottingham, and was immediately greeted by Gerard - such a wonderfully pleasant chap. Had my gait measured on the machine, tried on a few pairs of running shoes, it was great to have his full attention at all times. He went beyond helpful and gave me all the time that I needed, we also a great chat during my visit. I came away with a pair of Brooks Ghost 14 and took them for a run later that night, amazingly comfortable. There's a good range to choose from and Gerard seemed to know exactly what I needed - my feet were in his hands. I will visit these guys again for my next pair. Thanks Gerard.
