We had our new Kitchen from Howdens in Arnold. It was designed by Bob last year but due to health problems we had to put things on hold and it was fitted by Michael Gregory who Bob recommended in October this year. The whole experience has been brilliant and we love our new Kitchen that Bob designed. The quality of the units is excellent and customer service was the best. Will always get a recommendation from us.
Rude and seriously lacking customer service. After we were recommended this branch via a contact of ours, I requested a design consultation with the Nottingham branch instead as I had said would be in the nearby area on the day we had free, rather than making the journey over to Arnold specially. The person who rang me from branch advised he couldn't refer me elsewhere as he "had sales targets his branch needed to meet"; in his words, the branches are "dog eat dog". When I said I couldn't make it across town in time for the appointment he'd proposed to book, he proceeded to scoff and tell me that the Arnold branch was only 8 miles away from where I'd be - like it was his decision what I should be doing with my free time and how I should plan my day. He also added "you've emailed this branch now, so now you can't deal with another branch". Like it was some sort of hold / control over me. He suggested he could have availability on Wednesdays late evening and I'd queried how long we would need so I could plan childcare etc if appropriate. He advised he wouldn't need more than an hour as we would just be talking through my requirements / layout preference and wouldn't be designing anything in front of us. At this point, I queried if we could just do the consultation over the phone if he wouldn't be showing me anything directly, to which he very rudely responded "you can't design a kitchen over the phone" which just seemed to contradict what he had just said. This left me quite confused. His overall manner was rude from start to end and was totally unacceptable. I would hate for other potential customers to be pressured into things or spoken to in this way so would recommend you avoid this branch in particular at all costs. Overall, I'm really disappointed as I had really liked the look of a couple of the ranges Howden's have to offer, but now feel put off the brand after this poor experience. Needless to say, we will not be booking in with this branch. We will be looking elsewhere for someone more deserving of our business where we know we will be treated like actual human beings.
I always use howdens for kitchens, doors, skirting and architraves brilliant customer service, I would highly recommend.

Went to Howdens in Arnold to choose components for a kitchen to be installed in a new build. Excellent help all the way through from a number of staff. Great products, friendly service... excellent experience throughout.
If your looking for a kitchen why would you go anywhere else? Most fantastic customer service from the whole team, nothing is too much trouble. We purchased a kitchen and from the moment we had the design visit we knew it was just what we wanted. We was able to tweak the design and add to it with no problems at all.
