   I visited this place only once, as I live nearby and wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back. I spent around £27 and received a surprisingly small amount of food. Compared to the exact same dishes from other Chinese restaurants in Mansfield, the portions were noticeably smaller — in fact, shockingly small. The food didn’t taste bad, but it wasn’t anything special either — just very average. Nothing that would make up for the lack of quantity. Normally, when I spend £25–£30 at other Chinese takeaways, the food easily lasts into the next day. Here, everything was gone on the first evening. It just didn’t feel worth the price at all. Judging by other recent reviews, I’m clearly not the only one who’s noticed that the portion sizes have dropped significantly. These days, I’d rather drive a bit further and get proper value for money somewhere else.

   Absolutely God awful. Ordered from here for years. But wow what a fall from grace. Complained on the phone. Food was terrible. Never again will I order from here. Greasy full of cheap veg tasteless. Owners don't seem to care. No offer of any refund or better food. Watery and not worth consuming. AVOID

   Been coming here for years too. The food was the best by far. Last few months I thought they had a bad day. I even got severe food poisoning. Food has gone more expensive and quality and quantity downhill. I even went back after food poisoning it used to be that good. Tonight was the final straw. The sauce was watery. Chicken looked raw. I had a special satay and one prawn in it! Paid extra for one prawn. Chips looked like they were a day old. A loyal customer lost and I’ll be giving my custom elsewhere. Such a shame but it’s not jades cottage anymore it’s clearly someone else’s

   Been coming here years and have never been so disappointed, not only has the food massively gone down hill, they also only half filled the trays. Ribs have no meat on them and absolutely no seasoning (these are meant to be salt and chilli) the chunks of pork are tiny and the beef chewy. £40 wasted not even a proper plate for 2 people. Will not be ordering again. Used to be the best Chinese in Mansfield :(

   I’ve been a loyal customer of Jade’s Cottage for the past 10 years, always enjoying their delicious food. Unfortunately, last night’s experience was a huge disappointment and will sadly be my last order from them. We usually stick to our favorite dishes, ordering about once a month, but this time the quality was nothing like it used to be. The hot garlic sauce, which was always full of flavor, tasted like a bland, flour-based gravy. It was completely tasteless and lacked the quality we’ve come to expect. After reading other recent reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who has noticed a drop in standards. My guess is that there’s been a change in ownership, and it’s clear that the food quality has suffered because of it. It’s truly disappointing to see such a great takeaway lose its reputation. Time to find a new Chinese takeaway in Mansfield.

   Absolutely shocking service!! Jades cottage app states the food is still cooking yet it’s been sat ready on the side for 45 minutes !! When asking the question why? Food hub app is blamed, your told to be silent whilst the worker slaps a silent sign and tells you to get your cold food and go !! Then your suspended from the app so you cant write a review!!

   Food is nice, gravy bitterly disappointing. Expected Chinese style gravy, instead it was just regular gravy mixed with used kettle water giving it that chlorine taste

   The food is generally nice but tonights food was awful. Chicken balls over cooked even the chicken inside was rock hard. The bag was dripping with grease. Ate 1 which made me cough due to having a mouth full of grease ... Whats happened??

   Wow best food ive had in a long time taste absolutely beautiful beef melted in your mouth the spare ribs was bloody cooked to perfection ,ill definitely be ordering from here again the receptionist woman was very helpful as well and .(well done chef )
