   It felt cramped and cool on arrival. The menu we saw on the table only contained gluten items. Service seemed slow, and we very soon decided to try elsewhere as the noise level was also not what we were after. Only on leaving did we spot a small menu on a table by the door which included other choices, but by that time we had already made our decision. We did ask whether we should order from the one lady in another room but were advised to be waited at the table. Knowing we were there, however, we were not greeted or served before deciding to leave.

   Amazing as always, that's why I love to return for more! Had the Rabbit stew which was fantastic, Greengage Crumble and Guatamalan coffee. Wonderful and great staff. Looking forward to my next walk past.

   Cracking little cafe on the banks of the junction of the river Trent and the canal at Trent Lock. Traditional crockery and old fashioned style to match the house that surrounds it. Lovely home-made cakes and other food at very reasonable prices served by efficient, friendly owners and staff.

   This was the first time in a few years that I visited after a walk along the canal, the cafe was interesting with little artifacts. Staff were pleasent & service good. The only think I would say is that we had x3 cobs & sandwiches, x3 drinks & cake sadly I thought the price for what was ordered £28, saying that apart from the price, you can't fault the cafe.

   My friend and I visited for the 1st time on Wednesday, we sat in the garden. The staff were all helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed tea and toast. We'll certainly be back.
