I have recently had a stem cell transplant & am immunocompromised & haven’t left the house since my transplant other than to go to City Hospital. I wanted to go out for a coffee so was looking for somewhere with outdoor seating & thought of Floralands. When my husband went to order however he was told they couldn’t serve the outdoor seating area. Why not? I bet there were people out there the previous day when it was sunny rather than just cold. We left & went to Brookfields instead.

17/8/25 food wasn't that great, but what really stood out to me was the shocking service. the curly haired girl with glasses unprofessionally approached me multiple times and INSISTED i gave her my number (my girlfriend was sitting across from me) and when she FINALLY understood the word NO, she gave us both attitude and was simply very rude and my girlfriend caught her giving dirty looks to her multiple times. on top of this, we overheard her refuse to do the thints the nicer ginger girl on the till told her to do and overall seemed to do barely any work. i dont understand why a place like this would pay an employee who drives customers away and refuses to do her work, but we certainly won't be coming back.

Farm Side is a great place for kids, with friendly people and a welcoming atmosphere. However, the kitchen is quite uninspired—nothing special, and it feels a bit lacklustre. The food felt like it came straight from a supermarket, with tinned tomatoes and other basic, store-bought ingredients. I wouldn't recommend this place as a good breakfast option.

Very happy. Breakfast was quite big, very delicious, and hot. Coffee extra hot like requested at the till. Nice atmosphere by the fireplace, nothing beats a live fire. I haven’t felt so cosy for a very long time, really impressed by the temperature, I could even take off my jumper. Really happy and I'm waiting for a repeat. The prices are also reasonable compared with other similar places. Nice staff. Breakfast is served till noon so this is a big advantage as well :)

Coming out of lockdown, my wife and I have used the cafe for many Sunday breakfasts and enjoyed several sunny starts to the day, listening to the farm animals from the decking area, and have generally looked forward to our visits. We subsequently tried midday visits with family with mixed results and thought our expectations needed to be lowered over noise and service delays and general cleanliness. I now think that...Maybe we were the ones at fault and were foolish. We discovered this review site and decided to read the negative and positive reviews and it confirmed our growing misgivings about the cafe and it's management. The positive reviews are generally unbelievable and the style they are written in makes me feel that some are written in by staff. Yesterday was the final straw... Lunch was busy, usually a good sign but the delays were 25 mins. The 360° warmth from the central log burner was good. It was noisy with a lot of reflected sound from the low ceiling. We moved to the quieter area with sofa seating, but were met with trays falling to the floor and clattering tray service preparations as staff prepared to deliver their orders. The lemon water dispenser was good. My wife's lasagne was good My chicken and mushroom pie was a shocker... With nothing in its center but goo. They offered a refund or they could do another whilst we waited... Even longer! Finally the penny dropped... The negative reviews all made sense. They were far more believable than the positive ones! Our long-standing trust in this establishment finally evaporated. The cook finally agreed to come out and talk with us. She couldn't understand why the product was so bad. She returned with a sealed pack of the offending Wright's Premium Pie and we duly took pictures to take this all up with the manufacturers direct, because we felt something concrete had to be done... And we certainly didn't trust or believe that the Dumble staff would be that bothered at all. We shall advise any updates from Wright's pies here in due course.

Good food and lovely staff but tablecloths let it down. We tried several tables and they were all heavily stained and it is dated and unhygienic.

After visiting the garden centre over many years, we decided to have lunch in the café and what a very pleasant experience it was. The dining area is spotless and well laid out. The staff were very friendly and smiling all of the time, and we didn't have long to wait for our meals which were substantial, hot and of good quality and reasonably priced. I enjoy good coffee and I wasn't disappointed. Although the deserts were tempting, we're trying to pull the inches back after Christmas. Toilets are spotless, although the walk down the corridor is a little chilly at this time of year. Additional bonus is it's dog friendly. I've read some of the negative comments and think they must be confused with another place.

Visited for first time. We just had teas and coffees. The place was immaculate. The staff were lovely. It’s refreshing to visit a cafe/restaurant where standards are so good. Look forward to returning. Keep up the good work.

Disgustingly overpriced. Toddler meal, 2 hot drinks and 2 small slices of cake cost £18! The toddlers meal was a very small dry looking sandwich with option of 2 snacks & a drink, £4.25. I honestly could not believe the cost of this, feel like I’ve had my pants down! I forgot my sons lunch bag so we thought we’d may as well eat at the cafe, glad we didn’t have a meal as I bet it would of come close £40. I’d definitely not come back to the cafe and I’d 100% recommend you bring food or go elsewhere. Very tired looking and flies hanging about the place. The farm however was lovely!

The £7.50 burger meal was poor. They started cleaning the floor at the end of the day before we got up to leave so every floor was slippery. They also locked a women with a baby in the toilets after closing time.
