I had a really bad experience. I ordered a jacket potato with tuna and cheese but the tuna had no mayonnaise and looked like it had just been taken straight out of a can. I asked a staff member (Alfie) if it could be changed and he said no with no explanation and was extremely rude about it. The only response I got was, “there’s mayonnaise over there.” Even the lady sitting opposite commented that it was a really rude and strange interaction. I completely understand if something can’t be changed but there’s a polite way to say it. Another female colleague later explained they couldn’t do it which I appreciated as she was friendly and respectful. Manners cost nothing and if you work in customer service that should really be the minimum standard. I won’t be returning and I’d suggest others avoid as well.

Visited here on a Tuesday about 12:30. There are two dining areas, one for families that have children under ten, and another area for families with older children, along with an outside area. I had a standard breakfast and the wife had an omelette with chips. Sadly, the breakfast was not that great. The only thing I can think of that made me dislike it was they used quite obvious, cheap ingredients (beans, bread, hash browns) I completely understand that in today's business environment savings have to be made, but for £11.30.... just get some decent ingredients and don't be afraid to charge more. I'm not sure what happened with my wife's chips, but they had a very weird texture to them on the inside. With the chips either costing around £5 on their own, or bumping a meal up by an extra £5 you would think they would be semi decent. I could be wrong, but I think they were just cheap frozen chips that had been deep fried. Again, cheap and poor quality ingredients being very apparent. Sadly, I wouldn't visit here again. There are a huge amount of cafes that are comparable in cost with much better ingredients. Which is a shame because everything else was OK.

We visited here after taking a look around Lanes Open Farm. For drinks we decided to go for a hot chocolate & a Mocha, which were served with digestive biscuits, which is a first for me, as most places tend to supply the lotus biscuits. For food we went for a sage & onion sausage roll, warmed up of course, in which our daughter loved! We also had a banoffee waffle, & a Poppys Unicorn Sundae. Both desserts we were perfect, & better than expected.

Took a chance on having lunch here while our daughter & her boyfriend had a bird if prey experience next door. Wow, were we glad we did!! Excellent home made food (especially the cakes) & the staff were lovely & attentive. Took some of the cakes home for the family. They went down very well. We will definitely return.

Lovely coffee shop although I don't think families with under 10's should be segregated in another room, treated like second class citizens to suit other snobby customers.

Unfortunately this cafe thinks it’s above government legislation set out in 2010 The equality act. Which places a requirement on public services to make their establishments accessible to all people to use including learning disabilities and autism. After sitting in the quieter area due to having a child with autism who likes quiet and doesn’t speak and gets easily overwhelmed by noise we were told we either had to sit in a dedicated child area with lots of noisy children and babies or leave. This does not comply with legislation to incorporate and include people with disabilities access to public service such as a sit down meal. Due to this I have reported this establishment to the correct authority and put a warning on anyone else with children of disabilities to be aware in their words “they don’t bend the rules regardless of what you have” I’m sure your food is delightful and the staff were really kind and apologetic almost embarrassed for the behaviour of the owner here as my son was so quiet they didn’t even notice him until we tried to order him food and were told we can’t sit in the quiet area.
