Great pub found it with our Scooter club on Wednesdaynight . The staff and landlord were fantastic and it's a great pub inside. 23 of us arrive without notice, and they looked after us straight away. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this pub it's a hidden gem. Thank you for looking after us see you in the future
Great pub. Excellent choice of Ales. The cobs are especially good. Staff are friendly, the atmosphere is also friendly. Nice little back garden. Excellent as a pit stop when using the train station.
Fast efficient service of a great choice of cask ale with the 4:00 pm rush at opening time. A CAMRA heritage pub with its 1960’s decor - I suppose a digital train time table would look out of place in here - the station is less than 5 minutes away if you are travelling North bound with no footbridges to cross.
A proper pub, with a good selection of ales, much to the delight of my husband.

What a superb freehouse. So excellent I'm writing this review after my second visit in a few weeks on pub crawls up from London for the day. Just had to stop for another visit after a small crawl at Langley Mill. Cask ale choice and quality really high. Nice good value cobs served, I had two ! Customers very friendly and owner/manager? (Tony?) very welcoming. If you're on a day out to Ilkeston or on a pub crawl on the Erewash Valley line this pub needs to be on your itinerary. Cheers x
A great pub in a quiet corner of Ilkeston, attentive staff, good food and beer. Could happily while away an afternoon here so I did!
Sat outside on very hot day The area was nice and clean and separate area for smokers. Real Ales thoroughly enjoyed by my other half.
