   Visited here for the first time today as we were nearby and we needed a dog friendly place for lunch. I have to say the pub itself is really nice, the decor is lovely and the atmosphere is very welcoming. We had a lovely chat with a couple of locals and you can just see it’s a friendly place. The food we ordered was very obviously fresh and “homemade” rather than the frozen stuff from most chain pub restaurants. The burgers were so tasty, the bbq pulled pork was delicious, coleslaw was perfect and the skin on fries are to die for! Even though we live 30 mins away from here we will definitely be back regularly and will be recommending it to our friends.

   My wife and I ate at the dragon for the 1st time today(sunday 3/8), the food arrived perfectly cooked and hot, however i feel that 2 very thin slices of beef each and powdered mash for £12+ was a tad steep, also, an elderly customer sat next to my wife on the settee and allowed her dog to sit next to her, thats a big no no.. dogs if allowed in the pub should be on the floor. Unfortunately we wont be returning, shame as everything else was spot on.

   I have always loved this pub and the new owners seem to nailing it! I went there today with my senior Dad. The lady on Security was absolutely outstanding! She helped my Dad out of the Taxi and helped us get over the road when it came to leaving. Whoever you are, I want to say a huge thank you! Your customer service was above and beyond!!! The bar staff are always friendly and the place is always clean. Great pub, great place, great staff, and for me (and I only speak for myself on this one) has everything that I like to drink!

   Beer was great, service awkward - the fish finger sandwich was batter between bread and a small slice of lettuce. The Ham sandwich in the other hand was top draw.

   A clientele who are very tuned in to live music acts.If this pub had a nice strong real ale on tap it'd be the cherry on the cake. Nevertheless, an eager-to-please landlord is always engaged with his customers.
