It was OK. Nothing special, but I was served quickly, not alot of beers on tap, well not exactly brilliant, but drinkable. Fairy busy when we went, but so were all the others as the fair was in town. Maybe a different story if it wasn't.
Quiet pub, peaceful atmosphere
Great little pub , the current landlady has been here just over a year and is creating a great local atmosphere although it’s in the town, my wife and I really enjoy coming here for drinks, having a jukebox is a bonus , they seem to have entertainment on most weekends, staff are always nice and efficient, really happy to recommend here
Didn't have any food here so cannot comment on that but have nipped in a couple of times for refreshment, sadly not a lot to keep me here for long but it's a nice pub all the same, have always felt welcome, often a few familiar faces dotted around so another nice pub here for me, friendly atmosphere.
Popular bar in Ilkeston, playing a decent range of music too. It's a shame it shuts at midnight at a weekend though. Judging by the two times I've been recently around 23:45, there's so many people still in, that they could easily stay open at least another hour, and have plenty of trade / customers.
Great pub and landlord. Good selection of beers on offer. All beers always top draw
