Really disappointed in today’s experience. I have made various purchases before at mollbird. Me and my girlfriend walked in to purchase a vase and two coffees. We checked that the shop was open on the Instagram page. Made our way down, the doors were open and lights on. We stood for 10 minutes looking around at various plants and selected ones for purchase. The lady who owned the shop then appeared after 10 minutes and informed us that “the store is actually closed.” This was a very awkward exchange. Especially given the fact that the opening hours were advertised as open, door open and lights on. We were not met with any type of grace or warmth or even the opportunity to buy our selected items. I had a quick look and noticed that the card machine was on and running. I am a big fan and advocate of shopping local. Unfortunately two customers lost. I am not expecting to be served if the shop is closed, given the false advertising and doors open, this could though have been handled differently. Customer service really plays a huge impact on returning to businesses.

My sister and I came in to the cafe a few months ago. The lady working there was having a personal conversation with another lady there, we stood in the middle of the cafe beside them for 5 minutes without acknowledgement while they continued their conversation which made us feel awkward and uncomfortable so we left and went elsewhere. Such a shame as I had it looked like such a nice place from the outside Edit- I have edited my review as I had not tried the food/drink. This wee shop/cafe seems like somewhere which I would love so I will definitely try again in the future.

A beautiful plant and coffee shop, with a lovely cosy setup. Beautiful smells from the locally sourced candles and incense. There are a couple of tables to sit in too.

Lovely atmosphere with plants aroujd the shop, friendly staff, service with a smile. Definitely recommend! And most importantly, great coffee!! note: they do alternative milks like oat and they do have a selection of sustainable products there too.
