   I was completely blown away by the service given by the team at Mauds Lisburn Road this weekend. We were a complicated party to have in, with my father in a large wheelchair, a child in a high chair and also a child with severe allergies. The team were so accommodating and found us space to sit and enjoy our lunch. They went above and beyond with my child’s allergy needs too and really seemed to care (Mauds are a real exemplar in any branch I’ve been in for accommodating his allergies!) - compassionate, lovely people! Oh and the ice cream is always consistently great too - what more could you want?!

   With our brother and sister in law and their little rascal, we had 3 Americano, cappuccino, cookie dough, mix ins ice cream, blue surf ice cream for the little guy. I had delicious pear & almond scone. All was delicious and reasonable priced. We came back two days later and were slightly disappointed with the coffee and unavailability of some of the items.

   I’ve been looking for a waffle place in Belfast and just recently discovered Cafe Mauds. Their waffle is by far the best I have tried in belfast. My favourite in their menu is the banana and toffee waffle. The banana balances out the sweetness of the toffee and I think they are a perfect combination. Definitely recommending place to those looking for a good dessert place.

   We went there at Friday after 7pm and was very busy and crowded.. Didn't bother us though. We got brownies and crepes all very very delicious for reasonable price. On top of that spectacular mauds poor bear ice cream. Definitely we will be back :)

   Currently waiting 15 minutes for an icecream to take away. Plenty of staff on and the manager sitting up at the till texting away. Only I'm buying the icecream for someone else I'd have went elsewhere!

   The service wasn't great though polite. The cup of tea was nice but the croissant was over baked. There was a strong smell of burning in the building and the smell stayed on my clothes. The saucer of my cup was badly worn and stained and the plate for my croissant was chipped, marked and possibly dirty. I'll not be making a return visit. There are many better cafés beside it, probably best to visit them next time.
