This place is nothing more than a nice building. 4 customers stood at the door as the waitress closed the shop 10 minutes early today. The food is pathetic. Paninis and potatoes for a tenner a touch. The place is surviving on the reputation of the old chef who no lingerie works there. Won't be back

The King's Road Coffee Shop had a delightful atmosphere with attractive decor. The breakfast was delicious. Smashed avo with 2 excellently poached eggs, bacon and tomato. A royal treat. Thank you to the staff.

First time here, thought we'd try it out as we're moving to islandmagee and I have to say it's one of the friendliest nicest cafes I have been to in a long time....the lady serving us was soooo nice and chatty!! The food is absolutely beautiful and they do great coffee! They are also dog friendly which is a big plus in my book. Prices are much the same as everywhere else these days but the food and coffee here is so worth it. There is also outdoor seating.

Great Brunch here, eclectic mix of bacon, brioche toast and syrup with fruit! With cream ! It was great! Coffee was well better than average too! Very friendly staff with good service.

Absolutely amazing establishment, second to none. We had potato bread stack, outstanding, food was hot, very tasty and well presented and arrived really quickly. Louise is the star of the show and makes it worthwhile coming to Kings Road. Ruth is an amazing barista and made a speciality coffee not on the menu. I can't fault anything about here, will definitely be back soon

Got a 'King' fry here when it first opened. Took ages and certainly didn't look like the ones shown. No, mushrooms, no black pudding, they even forgot the beans until I asked for them, which were cold anyway. Only one sausage on the plate too. Then they loaded it with soda and pancakes. Not even nice food. More like 'peasants fry'. If only the price reflected this too. Nearly £20 for this meager offering and a coffee. Won't be back.

What a shame . Lovely decor and menu ruined entirely by obsession to chase customers out by three ! Arrived today myself and girlfriend at 14 40 . Sat five minutes and went up to order coffees and simple scone and tray bake and paid for it all . A girl came down to us soon after asking if we where ok with a take way cup as they close at three . No i was not happy with the stress that created as we where here to relax and not made to feel like an inconvenience . Got my money back and thanks for that . Whoever owns this place please pay/train your staff better or just change your website opening hours which currently show 4 pm as when you close .

Dropped in for a light lunch today. Staff are very attentive and friendly, the place is spotless and has a warm welcoming atmosphere and the food was excellent. Go on, give it a go. You won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely beautiful inside. Coffee was lovely. Food was slightly above average. Worth a trip and then a walk down by the water.
