“I shop at Eurospar @Carrick at least once a week. I first discovered this store when I moved to Carrick and was looking for a post office. Apparently, they have the best post office in the area, according to an award on the wall. I first took it with a pinch of salt but having posted half a dozen parcels, and buying office paper etc from the post office I came to understand they are indeed excellent like no other post office I know. It is about staff who take my business as if it is theirs. Before I moved to Carrickfergus I avoided Eurospar stores because there is Lidl, Tesco Extra and Sainsbury's where I do my shop. However, despite availability of those shops in my town I have become a fan of Carrick Eurospar. This is where I now buy my petrol and I buy my brioches, eggs and milk. They sell local baked products which I am a fan of., local berries in season are amazing. They are the only store within 10 miles distance from home selling Promise gluten free bread which I buy weekly. I enjoy visiting this store because according to my observation, the staff sincerely wants to help each and every customer. Each time I go there I am thinking it was a coincidence that last time that staff was kind to me but they are consistently being the best. I wish we had more stores like Eurospar @Carrick! Whoever is training or hiring staff is a magician.”

“Very impressive meal last night on our first visit on a windy monday evening - one of the most enjoyable Indian starters I have had! (chicken puri) and tangy balti exotica as main course. Better half had a somewhat unusual Indian starter of duck spring rolls :) which were lovely! The service was excellent and we will certainly visit again”

“A brilliant wee cafe. We were a party of 7 and there was no free table big enough. Just as we were deciding what to do they started moving tables together to accommodate us. The food was delicious, big portions and very good value. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Had a little walk around the farm afterwards. This would be a big draw for kids . We will be definitely be back”

“Beyond their regular menu lots of specials were on offer; quiche of the day, soup of the day, pie of the day, and sandwich of the day. I picked the day’s sandwich special, the Cajun chicken sandwich, which had tomatoes, rocket, chicken, the sauce, and good thick bread. It was excellent. We had some of their coffee and chocolate cake, and it was great. The place is very popular, but isn’t noisy. A band called The Bankhouse Robbers play live music here on Wednesday afternoons, while traditional musicians play Friday afternoons. It was a cold winter’s day outside but our table was toasty and warm. They have a great garden area with outside seating, for other times of the year. They’re in a 70s extension to the impressive former Northern Bank building of 1905. Service was very attentive and friendly.”

“Lovely little bistro a stone's throw from the water. Sophisticated but relaxed ambience with interesting works of art. A good wine list with more than enough options. Lamp rump was likely the best I've ever had - there's a reason they keep getting Taste of Ulster plaques. My companions' duck filet and the homemade tagliatelle with lamb ragu were well received. And dessert was delicious. Service was attentive with a light touch. Worth a visit but advise you make reservations.”

“Absolutely amazing establishment, second to none. We had potato bread stack, outstanding, food was hot, very tasty and well presented and arrived really quickly. Louise is the star of the show and makes it worthwhile coming to Kings Road. Ruth is an amazing barista and made a speciality coffee not on the menu. I can't fault anything about here, will definitely be back soon”
