A moneymaking outlet with a sense of humour 12DAYS OF CHRISTMAS if it’s crap pallets are peddled which turn out the same price as HOME BARGAINS EVERYDAY but butter last week £3 anybody with big ears couldn’t have got their head in the gap for it . That Day of Christmas lasted a few minutes . If SPARS weren’t attached to a fuel station it would be as inviting as a mugging

I've been using this place in its various forms for 30+ years but today started using a different garage. So much for customer service the new tills mean the assistant doesn't handle cash so now you have to feed in notes and coins and get change from the different slots lowdown on the counter front. Another nudge towards self service and cashless payments which is great for the businesses profits but bad news for a lot of customers and anyone relying on job on a checkout. I'm sure they'll blabber on about it being what customers want and speeding up service etc but it fools no-one and I know of others complaining and voting with their feet

Seriously disappointed with my visit here the other day. Have used this store numerous times and had pleasant staff. Unfortunately this was a totally different experience. I brought my items to one of the cashiers, she scanned them through and as I paid I asked for a receipt as I felt there was something wrong with the transaction. When I got out to my car and looked at the receipt, I had been charged for an apple which I did not purchase ( not sure how this happened as no barcode to scan so had to be keyed in ) I went back in and straight to the same cashier, showed her the receipt and said I hadn't purchased it. She called for someone from the management team and the woman asked did I want the money back in cash or on card. She was very abrupt. I said I had paid cash and she took out small denomination coins and practically shoved them at me without so much as a sorry for the 'mistake' or a smile. Rather poor customer service in my view. Sadly it has put me off going especially since the last few times I've been in the service has been poor. Lots of other stores with higher standards towards their customers.

Great shop but the jet wash is a joke!! Today I had to attempt to jetwash the place before I could use it, the brush had lumps of muck and hay actually stuck to it, had to jet wash the brush, couldn't walk around the car with the sods of muck. Ran out of soap....so often this happens. Shouldn't allow horse boxes or farm machinery to be cleaned in it or someone should be employed to ensure its cleaned after. My car mats were muddy from my feet and the amount of straw stuck to the tyres was unreal. Cost me £6 for a half done job!!! Sort it out please, especially since removing the drive through.

Well stocked shop, helpful staff. Hate the self check out tills and the congestion they create while queuing for a human cashier. Like a disorganized cattle market at busy times of the day. Puts me off so much i drive to the Centra at Clipperstown now. Less choice but less hassle and a stress free queue pay and go.

I shop at Eurospar @Carrick at least once a week. I first discovered this store when I moved to Carrick and was looking for a post office. Apparently, they have the best post office in the area, according to an award on the wall. I first took it with a pinch of salt but having posted half a dozen parcels, and buying office paper etc from the post office I came to understand they are indeed excellent like no other post office I know. It is about staff who take my business as if it is theirs. Before I moved to Carrickfergus I avoided Eurospar stores because there is Lidl, Tesco Extra and Sainsbury's where I do my shop. However, despite availability of those shops in my town I have become a fan of Carrick Eurospar. This is where I now buy my petrol and I buy my brioches, eggs and milk. They sell local baked products which I am a fan of., local berries in season are amazing. They are the only store within 10 miles distance from home selling Promise gluten free bread which I buy weekly. I enjoy visiting this store because according to my observation, the staff sincerely wants to help each and every customer. Each time I go there I am thinking it was a coincidence that last time that staff was kind to me but they are consistently being the best. I wish we had more stores like Eurospar @Carrick! Whoever is training or hiring staff is a magician.

Layout inside store is not as good as it used to be.it took me a while to find the loaf I buy in the bread aisle as the bread companys arent all in one section.they have bits of kingsmill white down one end and brown up the opposite end.Whatever management team made the decision to mix all the bread up seriously needs there heads looked at.
