Don’t recommend to anyone to register on this gp because that can’t give appointments on time even they understand the situation of patient even if you are not well and you need a appointment for today but they give appointments like after a week

The lady at the desk was very rude and hostile! I said hi you okay she says “your gonna have to wait” so I said yes that’s okay. she later says “yes” I asked if I could please have my vitamins d and folic acid level results printed. She says “I don’t know what that is” I tried telling her again but a nice lady came over and helped her to find it then leaves as she was busy and so I’m stuck with the rude lady as she still acts confused saying she doesn’t know what that is. so I said they should be on my records, She then printed my consultation instead of my levels. I then asked again politely if she could print the levels of my vitamins as it’s the wrong one she said “well you should have been more specific” sat there sipping her drink (not just a sip it was like for ages and she kept going hmmmm hmmm!) pretending she has no idea were they are shrugging her shoulders constantly and acting as if they don’t have the result's for September. She said “there’s no blood results here just your up coming bloods that you haven’t had done yet”. I called up before hand and was told the result were in and I can come in to get the print out as they cant tell me the levels over the phone. She eventually finds them after denying having them multiple times because I knew they did have them. Then says “well you better take a seat because your gonna be waiting a while!” In a rude tone rolling her eyes. Less than a minute later she brings them over to me. So I wasn't waiting at all it’s like she didn’t want me to have them for some reason. Also I understand your sat there all day and it can’t be nice but we are people and manners doesn’t cost a thing. I was very respectful to her n felt like she was being very entitled, inpatient and cold with me for no reason. The other lady on shift was extremely polite and helpful, it’s a shame I wasn’t seen by her instead. I will be changing doctors as I don’t feel comfortable speaking with that lady again after my experience, I know she was playing stupid because how can a qualified receptionist at a doctors not know what vitamin levels are. I’m happy I finally got them but it’s like I had to beg and convince her they were there. The 1 star goes to the other women who actually tried to help and was very polite.

difficult to assess. cannot get through by phone but when my brother in law does get through they tell him to go online to book. he has no internet nor a computer. his phone is not able to get on the net as he has no data. 80 yrs old. The receptionist has never heard of a "Digital First Policy" for people meaning his needs are not being met. nightmare.

AVOID!!!Rude staff, not willing to listen or ever explain. Never had such an unprofessional experience at a medical practice. Clearly do not care. Doctors are inept and really want to do nothing…..had an appointment and my appointment was lates by 15mins. The doctor who was late was then stood chatting to the staff at the front whilst people wanted to be seen, phone ringing and late appointments. I heard the conversation and it wasn’t work.

Update - I received I nice polite call this morning to explain some of the improvements which have been put in place over recent weeks in order to secure an appointment. We have today managed to get an appointment for our daughter which is certainly a step in the right direction. The lady who called me sympathised with my frustrations over the past couple years. I’ve changed my review to 3 stars and if my next experience is positive will be happy to increase further and remove my original comments. Thank you to the lady who called, all the best with the improvements and thank you for the call, I found it a very constructive discussion and it’s refreshing to know that you are following up on this. Dreadful. Embarrassing. This practice is one of the perfect examples of why our hospitals are past breaking point. Ended up in A&E in previous years due to not being able to get an appointment. Phones engaged for an hour or more every morning but if you go in there an hour after opening the place is empty, they are being paid for doing next to nothing and getting away with it.

Horrific service from the reception staff. Refuse to make appointments unless you call constantly from 8 in the morning, half the time they don't bother to answer and the rest they tell you they don't have any appointments and to ring again the next day. The ONLY way to get an appointment is by telling them that without one you will kill yourself and then they magically reveal that they've got LOADS of appointment slots. When you go in no-one is ever there, obviously because they refuse to make appointments. The doctors are kind and understanding but will still prescribe medications such as Propanolol to people with severe asthma unless YOU know that it is life threatening.

I used to highly rate this practice but something has gone seriously wrong in the last few years. The reason most negative reviews are to do with their phone system is because it truly is abysmal. The worst one I have ever come across. If you get through fairly quickly it feels like a fluke. Typically call wait times are around 45 minutes. The other day I rang and was told I was number 5 in the queue. It took over 20 minutes to move to number 4. I've found the staff to be friendly enough once you are in the practice. It's getting into the practice that is the problem. As others have said the practice is in serious need of a overhaul.

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Getting an appointment is like drawing blood out of a stone, even if you ring at 8am like advised. All slots for the day are opened up at 8am, I personally struggle to phone at 8am as I am driving to work and then I can't get an appointment if i phone any later. Can't pre book an appointment for next day, it's usually like a week later. No slots for the afternoon are saved for people who call at lunch. 2 Urine samples have been lost resulting in me not receiving antibiotics for a UTI whilst I was pregnant, so I had to go to UTC, even though I told them I know the symptoms because I suffer a lot they kept requesting another sample. The new appointment system is a shambles, can't get through at all to book an appointment, says I'm in a queue then each time I press number 3 to book an appointment it says we cannot answer your call and cuts me off. I'm due to have a baby in the next few weeks and I'm very worried that if anything happens to him I won't be able to get him an appointment. Not reassuring at all. Once he's born will be looking for another practice. Worst GP surgery I've ever been too and they wonder why 111 and hospitals are stretched. Overall if you're elderly or unemployed then you might have a slim chance of getting an appointment, if not I'd find yourself another practice because you'll have no chance.

We attempted to get our young son an appointment 3 days running. We spent a total of 5 hours on the phone. We finally managed to speak to a receptionist on the 3rd day. Sadly she was extremely dismissive after informing us there was no more appointments. The get out response is "call 111" All we needed was a 5 minute telephone call with a doctor/nurse so our poorly boy could be administered some antibiotics. We had to make do with over the counter purchases to get him through. Please avoid - we have begun the process of moving surgery as we do not want to risk our families health.
