Sadly, this company doesn’t look after loyal customers when I phoned them with a problem. No availability and quite blunt on the phone. Lost a good customer today !!!!!!!
No set price. Asked for a mot and interim service quote for my dads car. The guy told me £40 for mot and £130 for mini service. Booked a few days later, I checked the quote with the lady on the phone and she said “it’s around there” which didn’t seem very professional to me. I looked online to see what’s included in this mini service but couldn’t find anything so I ended up cancelling it and just got the mot done. Mot had failed, guy quoted me £473.80 for changing exhaust box, suspension and mot. When my dad came to pay, they charged him £499. I never use this garage as I don’t trust them but it’s convenient for my dad. Will have to plan ahead and go elsewhere next time.
Quick, competitively priced replacement of Catalytic Converter after theft. Will definitely use Fred Brown again!
I shopped around to have a thermostat housing replaced. Fred Brown Car repairs were the cheapest. They did a great job and I will go to them again if and when I get more problems with my car. Bottom line Fred Brown Car repairs were £100 cheaper than one garage and £60 cheaper than another and they did a great job!

Fantastic service as always. Mechanic talks you through what's required and why (if you're interested!), prices are very reasonable and repairs or servicing is usually carried out very quickly. Been using them for a good few years now with mine and my family's vehicles and we've had a great experience each time. Run by genuine people and I'd highly recommend them to anyone.
Always good prompt service. Prices are good. Any problems for mot or with service will contact and advise of cost for repairs. Do not make promises of having vehicle ready and then let you down. Opposite is nearer as I was informed pick up following day as wouldn't be finished. Received a call close to closing that vehicle was ready. Highly delighted. Staff always polite and helpful
The best customer service I've ever received by far. So easy and quick to arrange work to be done on both occasions. They suggested and picked up my car first thing in the morning, did a super quick service and MOT and delivered it back before lunch. It saved me so much hassle. Work done is outstanding, too.
