Had new electric car in for its first service. Went with diamond motors instead of Renault as I find main dealers useless, not only that but these charged me a fair price, rather inflated like Renault. Excellent service will definitely go back. Thanks.
Mick diagnosed and repaired a gearbox fault on my Mk4 Clio RS in September '25. He conducted a thorough investigation to find the root cause of my issue, fixed it by replacing the worn out part and conducted a full suite of tests to ensure the rest of the transmission systems were in good working order. Mick is a man of integrity, incredible product knowledge and master tech level of skill. Could not recommend Diamond motors more if I tried and would highly recommend making a phone call to Mick your first priority in case of a fault with your RS rather than waste time with main dealers and their "throw parts at it until its fixed" attitude. 100% would use Diamond Motors again for my Clio's needs!
I can't recommend Mick / Diamond Motors enough. I had the misfortune of requiring an engine replacement in my Renault Clio 182 and chose to visit Diamond Motors based on recommendations in the Renaultsport community. Well, I'm glad I did! I was extremely impressed with Micks knowledge and professionalism, all work undertaken is documented and explained and you come away knowing things about your car that many mechanics wouldn't even notice. Well what can I say Mick really knows his stuff when it comes to Renaults. He has had my 1993 16v Clio in for various maintenance checks, service and upgrades and I could not be happier. He is vastly knowledgable, happy to chat about the car as well as offering unrivalled service. Mick is absolutely brilliant, I’ve been using him for a good few years now and would not trust my car in anyone else’s hands, he’s honest very efficient and knows renault inside out! He may have a waiting list every so often but don’t let that put you off, there’s a reason the wait exists and it’s because mick really is one of the best renault specialists in the uk :)
