   I went to Archers to fix my horrendously squeaking brakes after two other garages failed to do so (one of which wanted to overcharge me massively). But Archers diagnosed the problem by properly inspecting all the brakes. I was recommended to come here by my dad who previously had a good experience when Archers similarly diagnosed an issue that other mechanics had failed to see. These guys actually know what they're doing. My only slight negative is that they're very busy so it can take a while to get your car seen to. But clearly they're known for doing a good job, which is why they have so much work. I would definitely recommend them.

   I took my car to my usual mechanic who was too busy to carry out the work, he drove the car and said there was an issue, I looked for an alternative so dropped my car to Archers garage saying there was a knock from the steering. After investigating I was told he couldn't see any issues. I collected my car the same day and was charged £50, I reluctantly paid but my partner went back in to question why we were charged so much if no work was carried out. The owner quickly became rude and told her to get out. Looking at the receipt there is a note saying knock detected from the steering, so the issue was detected but not fixed. Ended up paying £50 for a check over on my car that has recently passed MOT.. Incompetent skills to carry out the job and rude customer service, I won't be returning to this garage.
