Had a really dreadful experience and couldn't reccomend Halfords for a bike: Purchased an ebike in August under cycle to work scheme. Paid for an extra treatment for my tyres to make them puncture resistant. Got a puncture - went in a few weeks later and was offered the slime treatment again - so I'd been charged for it but it hadn't been provided due to the lack of a thorough pre-delivery inspection of the bike. Brake cable was also fraying; which was noted by someone in store but Ihey didn't have anyone in store qualified to look at the bike fully at that point - due to staffing issues/holidays/turnover - this was acknowledged by the manager on the phone at a later point. The brake fully snapped as I was riding to work one day so I took the bike to a technician in my place of employment to look at the brakes. He found that - on this two month old bike, the wheels were tightened wrongly. The brakes were dangerously over-tightened, the handlebars were askew, and the bike was - in his words - not in a 'safe, rideable condition'. £84 worth of work needed done to make the bike safe and none of this was due to normal wear-and-tear, but rather, becuase the bike hadn't been constructed properly nor had a legal minimum PDI check been done to ensure it was safe. Upon phoning about this, the manager explained the staffing things and acknowledged that when I gt the puncture repair in halfords (due to the slime not being done, despite being initially paid for), there was nobody on staff that could have looked at the bike properly. In spite of this, Halfords refused to refund me for the other repair due to the fact that I have, according to them, invalidated my warranty - so I was given an unsafe bike, Halfords were unable to make it safe, and refuse to refund me for a repair casued by their negligence. In spite of this, I'm still glad to have paid the money - grateful that nothing terrible has happened to me because I was riding an unsafe bike withut knowing how dangerous this was! Save yourself a trip to small claims or the A&E and buy elsewhere!

At your store at 3pm on Boucher road and I didn’t get the guys name, however he put 2 bulbs in my car and his customer service was excellent. He really went above and beyond fyi it was a Nissan he put the bulbs into if this helps identify who it was. Definitely an asset to your company and will be back.

Item I ordered was meant to be in stock and ready to collect the next day by 4pm. It wasn’t and I received an email three-days later to say it was. I went to collect it at around 7pm which should have been fine as the shop was meant to be open until 8pm. It was closed although the Halford website said it should be open, and the opening times on the door also said 8pm. Had to return on another day to collect the item, so not a good experience.

If I could give minus 5 stars I would, do not under any circumstance buy a dash cam setup and especially don’t have the staff fit the dash cams either. I bought a front a rear dash system in November and then had it fitted in February from the same Halfords for my girlfriends car and although the fitment for the rear camera was centralised the rear camera was skewed due to the cables being poorly dressed. We had just went round today to have the same members of staff refit the cables for said rear camera and to my absolute disbelief they had somehow made the fitment of the cables and rear camera worse. Not only by still not fixing the issue of the rear camera being skewed but they for some reason had the idea of moving the rear camera from the middle of the rear windscreen to the far right. And to top it off, instead of removing the pop and play interior plastics in which these camera cables are usually fitted within, they decided to place a sticky back on top of said plastic with what seems to be superglue which has also been poorly used as it can be seen to drip down the plastic in which the sticky back (key word STICKY back) was placed upon. In conclusion, don’t ever buy dash cams and especially don’t have them fit any cameras as the staff don’t seem to have a clue about anything they’re putting their hands to. If they can’t even fit a dash cam I wouldn’t even trust to do a mot check. Stay well clear.

Brilliant experience today, buying a set of roof bars to let my elderly car carry our newish SUP. Finn was brilliant. Went to endless trouble to get the right gear and find the last set of bars that had been hidden at the back of the wrong shelf! Halfords also provide an unofficial social service for elderly motorists who want DIY parts along with low cost fitting charges!

We came in to get our indicator light fixed. We asked the staff for their service. However, it turned out, that it's just loosed and he only tightened it. He didn't charge for the service. Lovely experience and thank you so much for that lovely staff. Will come again in the future.

Customer service from the staff at voucher road was excellent. We picked up a new bike and all aspects thoroughly discussed and explained. Could not recommend the staff member David enough for excellent service.

The store was fairly quiet on a Friday lunchtime, post New Year. There were plenty of car and cycle spaces outside. Friendly staff and I was free to browse in the cycle section. A young man dealt with my purchase in a friendly, professional manner. I'm pleased with the bike lights I bought and would use the store again on the basis of service and value for money.

Brilliant customer service today at 6.30pm 8/12/22 by a lovely young lady and male: Needed a particular battery that showed was unavailable on her system; the lady asked if we wanted to check another store. She did then asked if she could go check out the back and found one in stock. I had issues with my card transferring money, she kept the product so i could go home and get cash. We come back and the male on was so friendly; asked if we would like the battery fitted however I couldn’t as it wasn’t on site. He even went out of his way to open the doors whilst we were leaving. This level of customer service was fantastic and a credit to all the staff at this Halfords store. The battery didn’t fix my car problem however when my husband went back to discuss a refund the male offered to check our old battery to make sure it was infact dead (which it was) Thank you both, you made a stressful situation that little bit better.

Top class service provided by Halfords Boucher Road this evening and especially by Simon, who was helpful, courteous and professional. Even when my old car proved awkward in changing car bulbs, and I think he was beyond his shift ending, he finished the job with good humour and impeccable manners. A true professional, a credit to himself, the store and the company. Thanks Simon
