I was quite surprised upon my arrival. I had followed the queue, and inadvertently found myself behind the coffee machine. A staff member then informed me that I needed to remain in the queue. I explained that I believed I was already in the queue, but she responded in a rather impolite manner. When I proceeded to pay, another staff member reiterated that I should stand elsewhere. This is not my first visit to this establishment, and I am familiar with the ordering process. It was rather disheartening to hear them discussing the situation amongst themselves and repeatedly instructing me on how and where to order. Especially during the Christmas season, I believe it's important to treat each other with kindness. Time 15:20, 27/12/2025

Lovely coffee shop for our mid morning snacks. The best toasted tea cake in Plymouth it was huge. Served with hot coffee. Disabled friendly staff, toilets are clean. Plenty of seating .

Really enjoyed my visit to Coffee #1. The coffee was excellent, the cake was fresh, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A relaxed, cosy place that’s perfect for a quick stop or a longer sit-down.

This is a branch of the small countrywide chain. It is a fairly big cafe with plenty of seating. Especially good in the hotter weather is that they have comfy seats next to the windows but the glass pane pulls back thus leaving you in the fresh air. There is outdoor seating too but when you sit inside by the window, you get the same temperature with no fear of rain! Service was friendly & my latte was very good. I had a fruit scone & butter. No catering butter packs here though, I had a very generous serving of butter in a side pot. Had to mark the food down slightly though as my scone was quite dry. The other cakes & biscuits all looked very nice. They also serve a selection of savoury rolls and sandwiches. NB Well behaved dogs are welcome inside.

Great coffee, service and atmosphere. Eat in or take away. Lovely gluten free cakes that taste homemade and relaxing decor. You won't be disappointed, unless you're very very hard to please. Try the smoothies too.

A large coffee shop with helpful staff. The coffee was weak, could do with a double shot but the coffee taste was good, no bitter after taste. Normal display cakes, similar to Costa coffee ones. Bad point there was only one toilet and one disabled toilet, which was causing queues into dining area.

Good for a quick cuppa. They have a good selection of coffee and other beverages to choose from. It can get packed in the afternoons. They have some cakes and pastries if you fancy something sweet.

Great choice of Welsh brand of coffee that is owned by cafe Nero. By chance, there next to each other. The seats are worn out here.

Great coffee shop with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of tables with comfortable seats, perfect for a social catch up or a business meeting. Parking at Drake's Circus is only a couple of minutes walk away.
