I rent from habitat formally DBP, they have always tried their best to have my back when I was in a bad spot in life, they sometimes take a little time to get things done, you might need to ask once or twice, but everyone is human & not a robot, you can't expect instant results for issues that clearly take some time to sort out. If you are looking for a place to rent & you need a little flexibility in life look no further.. I think some of the reviews on here are very over exaggerated by the authors.. I have always had the best from them in terms of effort & reliability for a very busy but small team.. You do get what you pay for with them & that can only be a good thing...

I would give them 0 stars if it was possible. I am a landlord and used them because they promised me the best but delivered nothing. Rent never came on time. No one retuned my call when I left a message. Rented to wrong kind of tenants without my consent. Took the money out of deposit protection scheme without my consent. Tenant left property in really poor state and no one ever inspected. Tenant did not pay last month rent and I was told there is not enough deposit. This was my first experience of letting agents and how horrible was it is very difficult to write in words. All I want to say is avoid them at any cost they are most useless agents ever and that is why they are not member of any organisation like ARLA.

Please if you are considering using the agency, think again. They tried to move our family (with a less than one year old baby) into a house full of damp, with a garden full of shattered glass and sharp metal. They failed to produce a gas safety certificate when they wanted us to sign the contract, even though on their website it says that they could be fined around £5,000 for failing to do so. The property had no safe fire exit, and no smoke alarms. Even though they promised to have the property sorted, they did absolutely nothing for two weeks and we had to put up a real fight to see any of our money back, and they still managed to con us out of money. We are now taking this to the courts, but they do not have an independent organisation such as an ombudsman you can report them to. Utterly disgusting treatment, hopefully the company will shut down, and reading this you will avoid them like the plague.

Sorry there is no lower rating than Poor-Fair, i would give the 0 DBP managed my property and always paid me rent 2 months late not even full by saying either Tenent hasnt paid the rent or council hasnt paid the rent. i advised to leave my property and it took another 6 months to evict the tenent and DIDNT GET SINGLE PENNY OUT. NEVER EVER DEAL WITH THEM.

I have been using dbp for the past 6 months now, I have used them to let and manage 2 of my properties and have found their services extremely good. the tenants found by dbp have shown themselves to be decent people and my rent is paid as and when due. when any of my other properties become vacant I will have no hesitation in handing them over to dbp to manage for me. Excellent service all round

They are OK when everything is going fine, but soon as they get problem tenants thing don't run so smooth. We found lack information from them, promised to do tasks, which never happened, or just took long time, failed to return calls, and pass on important documents which has now result us in having to pay court summon costs. Would not recommend, Jas
