Had a really lovely Christmas dinner today 12.12.25. When i say it was really lovely thats exactly what i mean, by far the best roast dinner ive eaten out in a long long time. The place has a lovely homely atmosphere. The staff were all very quick and very helpful even though it was busy. The fact it was busy is also an obvious sign that its going to be good food. We were served mainly by Olivia, who was great, she made sure everything was ok for us from start to finish. We thanked her at the time and would like to use this review to thank her again and to thank everyone else at the Tudor Rose Tea Rooms. A great place to eat

OH and I have been meaning to visit this tea room for a while, and finally decided to pop in one drizzly afternoon. We were met with a warm welcome at the door and seated promptly. The inside is decorated with a vintage feel and feels very cosy. OH went for a traditional cream tea and I chose the savoury cream tea (I’m much more of a savoury person). Food was delicious and I absolutely loved the wizard tea cosy! We did have a little nose at what some of the other tables had ordered, and the full afternoon tea looked very impressive. I would definitely recommend Tudor Rose, and will be back to try their afternoon tea!

Lovely Sunday Lunch. Made to feel welcome by a very friendly staff. Manager went out of her way to provide a "Tea cosy" to a visiting USN customer. Official supplier to the US Navy.

I came here with some friends visiting from Europe as they wanted to visit somewhere with some traditional English food. I've been here several times before so I knew exactly where to take them. As always, we all received a friendly welcome. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was very fresh and tasty. Whether your local or visiting the area - this is the place to come for some traditional English Tea. The garden area is nicely set out and can be quite a sun-trap.

Had afternoon tea at Tudor Rose Tearooms and really loved it! The scones were incredibly delicious and still a bit warm, just perfect. The design of the place was great. Seating in the garden was wonderful, especially in the sun. If I ever find myself in Plymouth again, I'll definitely be coming back

Perfect to visit as a small group or a couple. Greeted with a smile and shown to our table in the beautiful courtyard. We had the Devonshire Cream Tea at £6.25. This featured two traditional homemade scones served warm with strawberry jam, Rodda’s clotted cream and a pot of Drake blend Plymouth tea. The Tearooms and Garden is situated in one of many listed buildings on New Street, which is one of the oldest streets in Plymouth.
