I dread the mot I know not why ! but all the staff I have encountered at this test centre make this a very stress free process. Pass your wee car over and out it comes hopefully with a certificate . Easy peasy

Today at Lisburn mot I had such a pleasant experience. Taken snot5 minutes early by the most friendly mechanic. So bright and courteous. I didn’t get his name but he really put me at ease. I absolutely dread taking my car to mot. After waiting only about 20 minutes he told me all good and wished me to enjoy my day. Well done Lisburn.

Efficient and slick process any time I've been there, making a necessary evil slightly more tolerable! I have found the current staff friendly and approachable. There is a little bus shelter to wait while your car is being assessed. Not perfect as could be cold in winter, but does the job. People tend to smoke around it, which isn't great. A better waiting area would be good. The other issue is actually booking an available appointment in the first place before visiting, but that isn't a specific problem for this particular center.

The staff at this facility are very courteous and professional. The MOT testing is done very efficiently and with care. Currently the tester will come out to your lane and take your car into the facility and carry out the test. You can wait outside or in the reception area for your car to be returned.

Very quick compared to other MOT centres, however staff were very abrupt, with an aggressive tone when explaining that my car had failed due to a broken shock absorber that I should have fixed before bringing it to test. The shock absorber was not broken before the test, and I know this because I changed the brake pads and when I inspected after the test, the amount of oil leaking from the piston would have been spotted by anybody. Clearly the testing is what broke the shock absorber, and the is OK (this is why it gets tested the way it does) but there is no requirement to accuse people of bringing a damaged vehicle for test!

Car test was great - she passed! Examiner was super at his job - she passed! Very pleasant in that respect. Didn’t know they changed things during Covid and you don’t drive your car in as they do that. I didn’t need the test letter that they say you need. I think they could tell people that things have changed. As for the reception area whilst you wait…rancid!!! Heavily stained seats, an old table, signage overload particularly about wearing masks which no-one was. There was no covid hand gel available. Didn’t venture near the toilets. Stupid typo on a sign despite the plethora of formal laminated signs. Manky walls with dirt and holes. Hazard tape all worn on the floor. The managers really need to look at the experience they’re providing. Gross!!

In and out in good time. Tested competently by a friendly tech. Much better service than Cookstown's MOT centre who are there solely for the purpose of trying to make as much money out of drivers as they possibly can.

The guy who looked after my booking was very pleasant, helpful & very efficient. He drove my car into the centre & delivered it directly to me once completed. There was no real waiting time & I found the whole experience very professional.
