I have been using Ilkeston ply & diy for a number of years. They are always friendly and have offered competitive prices. We recently made a large order for flooring and when I rang up to get quoted they offered me a great price including delivery. Delivery was quick and came in a few days and we couldn’t be happier with their service
Needed wood for frame and pannelling to fix up our out-house. I was very impressed with Ilkeston ply wood.. an amazing service, a lovely lady Sophie took my call and went through all my measurements and requirements.. Sophie made sure I got the best deal and double checked the order with a confirmation call to go through everything. Wood arrived when promised and a lovely gent got it all through to the back garden for us. All the wood for frame and panelling is great quality, and looks stunning. Super impressed with service and product, highly recommend and we will use again.
Called in today for just a few small bits. The staff helped me to change plans with not only a better option but a cheaper more suitable one. They are really pleasant, polite people who go out of their way to help. The selection of timber, boarding, tools and fixings is excellent. Brilliant for little diy lads like me as well as trade. Fantastic small business! They provided perfect custom-cut panelling for our bedroom, exceeding what pre-made kits could offer and for a fraction of the price. The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. We're absolutely delighted with the results and will be returning for all our future DIY projects. Couldn't recommend enough!
I have been a customer for about 20 years now. From a small yard with a garden shed as the office this family business has grown into this excellent local supplier where nothing is ever too much trouble and where very member of staff does there upmost in customer service. For me what makes the difference is that it is actually a pleasure to go to Ilk ply and be greeted with a smile rather than a scowl that you often get at some of the larger companies. A mention must go to Dan on the front desk who treats the business as though it were his own and always goes the extra mile….

Massive thanks to Matt (or maybe Dan?) who a couple of weeks ago gave me loads of help when I turned up with a pretty poor cutting list - he helped me select all the most suitable types of materials I needed for my BBQ hut project which as pictured is now complete. I visited here for the first time today after it was recommended to me. My o my the wood is all undercover, fantastically priced and a great selection of sizes and mouldings. On first appearance the place looks rather small but it is much bigger than you think. There is a shop on site where you can buy all types of metalwork fittings and finishes connected to the wood trade. Give this place a visit you will never go to B & Q ever again. The place is used regularly by the trade, so it can't be that bad. You can browse at your leisure without being hassled by friendly staff who are helpful. However, the road leading up to it needs a lot to be desired, beware and drive slow. Small carpark
