I cannot praise Kim and all the girls in Opal Hair enough. Since January 2025, they worked so hard to make sure my hair was perfect for our wedding day in July. We had colours, cuts, styling trials, consultations and loads of laughs. It feels like they were my own personal cheerleaders every time I was in the salon and I absolutely loved every minute of it. Special mention to Andrea and Chantelle as well for all their help and for the craic. On the day, Lauren did hair for my two bridesmaids and they looked amazing. Kim came to work early and, more importantly, on her day off. My hair was perfect all day and it’s still going strong two days later. You made me feel like a movie star and can never thank you enough. Love Aileen xx

Listen to what you say and share their knowledge on whether your ideas will work or not. If not Andrea explains if it's the natural fall of your hair or wouldn't work with your face shape. So far she has always been right - a lovely place and always a great experience. All staff very accommodating.
If I could give zero stars I would. Went in expecting to get a professional haircut after I was assured that the stylist knew what they were doing and were able to cut hair of any length and style. Trust me that wasn’t the case. Even though I provided pictures of the style and a clear explanation of what I wanted I came away looking like I was about to audition for a boyband in the 90s. Nothing about the cut was good. It was uneven, clumpy and heavy. It’s impossible to style and I’m now out even more money as I’m going elsewhere to get it cut again into an actual style. Trust me - avoid this hairdressers. There’s a reason it’s easy to get an appointment and it’s not just luck— wouldn’t trust them to cut a piece of paper let alone my hair.
Visited Opal on 22nd July. Staff were friendly, professional and were fantastic in giving advice on styling and latest trends. I was made to feel very comfortable and safe also as all staff wore appropriate PPE and had all safety measures in place. Looking forward to my next appointment.
