   I have been going to the girls at DK hair and beauty for years and I love going there. Linzi cuts and colours my hair and she is amazing! Linzi listens to what I want and gives her specialist knowledge about what would look right ensuring my hair remains in good condition. Danielle does my nails and she is absolutely fantastic. Danielle always provides great advice and ensures my nails stay in good condition. Danielle is so professional and always takes time to make sure my nails look perfect! All the team at DK hair and beauty are so friendly and welcoming, great team!

   Absolutely love this wee salon. Had full head foils cut and blowdry and was really pleased with the outcome friendly staff, so professional and made sure I was happy throughout the process. Also had my nails done and would highly recommend for both hair and nails.

   Had been here previously for a cut & blow dry & it was perfect & as expected. Went this week for 2 colour foils to add a bit of dimension to my hair and a trim and ended up crying during the haircut because the hairdresser took off approximately 6 inches, 5 of which we had not agreed to. She then proceeded to cut layers into my hair which I never once asked for nor did I have previously & once she’d cut the first bit there’s nothing else can be done. She left the hair blunt cut all over including the layers so the hair looks ridiculous. The colour is disgusting, she did not do as I had asked and for a full head of foils ‘she done approximately 1/2 of my head, with no proper sectioning leaving out sections far to thick meaning my hair now looks very dark compared to the super light look I had expected (I’ve had a full head of foils for years now so although not a hairdresser I’ve had it done enough times to understand what to expect) I’ve never had foils started at the top of my head ever especially in such a haphazard fashion with no sectioning of the hair just randomly grabbing bits with her fingers and doing tiny bits in foils then leaving the rest of a chunky section out. She then proceeded to put a toner on the bottom underneath half of my hair where she left out doing the foils completely ‘because blondes are naturally darker underneath’ please bare in mind I never once asked for a natural look, I’ve been bleach blonde for years because that’s how I like my hair always have always will. She then proceeded to put a toner on the huge sections she left out of my hair with her fingers. The colour is what I can only describe as wet sand with the most horrible hair cut. This woman whilst very pleasant appears not to have gone on any refresher training since she left college I would say close to 30/40 years ago which I feel is what made her methods so extremely outdated and leaving a result which had me in tears. When combing my hair both at the sink and to dry it she did not care if there was a knot (caused mainly by how she rubbed colour with her fingers into my hair) she dragged the comb through my hair breaking & pulling out clumps of hair in doing so. When it came to drying my hair again the same experience however not once did this lady ask me how I wanted my hair dried/styled - and I honestly have no other reference point other than she dried my hair so I resembled Gail Platt, no asking did I want it curled or straightened which in all my years of visiting hairdressers I had never experienced. It’s unfortunate that this experience has genuinely put me so off this salon I would never ever recommend it to anyone . I think it speaks volumes when in a 4 hour visit (excessive as well considering I never got done what I asked for) not one other customer came in. I think this hairdresser must only be used to working on older women’s hair and unfortunately this has completely ruined my hair. She asked was the hair what I expected and whilst crying I told her no, she said ‘oh did you not know what to expect’ and I said ‘no this is not what I asked for’ to then be told it’s a big change it’ll take a while to get used to and that my hair needed layers. I’m so gutted this has happened and I wish I had a good experience because it’s a local salon but honestly I couldn’t recommend this hairdressers in good faith because my hair is so messed up now that I’ve booked into another salon to have the colour fixed but unfortunately the shocking unconsented to layers & length will take years to grow out.

   My mother and I have been going to Jego for over 25 years and it is the only place we will get our hair done. We both get our hair cut and coloured by Kathleen and Lindsay and they do an amazing job at amazing prices. My mum even gets her eyebrows done! We travel over 30miles to get our hair done here. A hidden gem. Xx

   Absolutely terrible! The lady cutting my sisters hair had very shaky hands and cur it all uneven. She asked for a Bob and she gave her a bowl, lopsided, old fashioned, awful cut. I got a trim, it was sprayedin sections with hairspray BEFORE they straightened it. I would never recommend this place. Totally unprofessional and traumatic.
