My partner (36, M) and I (26, F) popped to the tesco to get some food and a couple scratch cards, wanted something exciting to look forward to after a day in the hospital. When getting to the till the person ( female, coloured hair, lots of piercings) was power tripping and not allowing my 36 year old partner to get the scratch cards (a tenners worth, not loads) even tho he showed his ID, just because i didnt have mine on me because i dont carry it around everywhere anymore seeing as im not a child and havent been for a while and dont get asked for ids in shops, havent for a long time. He was buying them as well, my partner. So cause i stood next to him he was denied them? So what a mother cant get herself a wine if her child is next to them? We werent even buying alcohol, or anything bad, and i do not look young or underaged in the slightest. She was just power tripping and it was so obvious. What if my partner was a dad and his kid was with him, he can never be allowed to buy a scratch card? Or can never enter the shop with his kid???Lost the store money and customers great work, and ruined our day even more. It is beyond pathetic and ridiculous to not give a 36 year old male a scratch card, especially after his id was shown. Tesco should hire staff that actually care about custmers, have common sense, and would rather not lose the store money just to power trip.

They cannot for the life of them get a Whoosh order correct. Twice in a row, 3 days apart, I receive someone else's order entirely. Which means someone else also received my orders in error. Completely negligent management.

Staff are amazing and llvely but the worst selection of foods I’ve ever come across. Never have anything in stock when you want it & no point looking for a meal deal, they only have the very basic options

Lots of good all round choice, slightly on the expensive side of the road, lots of security people dressed in black always standing in the way... Unless i look like a shoplifter?

This is a Tesco Express store and it has all of those convenience Items of shopping that you might need whilst travelling on your way home from work or that you have just run out of. Controlled access via a traffic light system monitoring numbers of people in store, thoroughly recommended.

Brilliant tesco store, however I CAN NOT begin to understand why the majority of staff are not wearing masks properly or not at all! I went into store today and saw a member of staff pull her mask down to cough... What?! And staff are not adhering to social distancing whatsoever. I work in a outpatient pharmacy where we all have to wear a face mask at all times eventhough we don't come in to contact with any customers, yet you're staff are constantly in contact with customers and mixing households. Not only are they putting themselves at risk but everyone else, there may be some legislation that says its not mandatory for staff to wear masks... That does not mean you're somehow exempt from catching or spreading Covid. Even members of staff who might be exempt from wearing a face mask due to health conditions, should still wear a face shield at least, because again NO ONE is exempt/immune from catching a virus. I'd expect better from such a renowned retailer considering the current situation. The only members of staff that I have seen wearing masks properly and taking Covid seriously are the ones that have to stand at the front entrance.
