Staff are friendly. The store is relaxed. I don't eat most of the stuff on sale there but sometimes find stuff in there that I do eat at a fantastic price. A good place for people to shop during this cost of living crisis
Another 1 star review for Mandy, the rude cashier, on Wednesday 24th May 2023, i was in the queue behind a couple of other customers, female customer finishes, Mandy goes to take for the next customer (A male), until she notices someone she knows outside. The man was about to give her the item byt she had ran to the door and started waving at the person she knew. After about 30 seconds, comes back to the till and the man was looking at another item while waiting to be served.... Her "apology" for messing around was a very stern and arrogant: "Are you waiting?".... I could tell by his expression that he wanted to say something but didn't. During the time of me being served, the person she waved at came into the shop and they both started chatting while she was counting out my change.... She then lost concentration as she ended up counting my change 3 times! She is literally the type of person that thinks they can treat customers however they like and talk down to them and that there'll be no consequences, get your manager/s to keep an eye on this specific cashier, and you'll soon see the type of person that you have employed. 1 star review due to the cashier who was on the till at 09:45 this morning. Great variety of frozen products at cheap prices. Friendly and helpful staff. We'll maintained and clean store.

Good look around and you do find some good things
Good choice of frozen foods tinned bread biscuits etc. Good value on most products
Herons is a good place to grab a bargain and essential foods, it's especially good if you just want to go to one place to do a quick shop it has fridge foods cupboard foods freezer foods but also some pet foods and household things and sweets near the till. If you don't want to spend alot and are looking to still be able to make balanced meals for the family here is a good place to shop. Staff have always been helpful and polite.
A great ever changing range of foods at really good prices. You can find some real hidden gems in there like high branded foods being sold for a 1/4 of the usual price but still tasting just as good. Great for a quick shop to pick up some bits for dinner or for a bigger freezer stock up shop
