    Great to have a local shop with extended opening hours in the village (hence the two stars), but the majority of the staff are so rude. If you can't use the self service till (for various reasons) the staff seem to be unhappy to open the this checkout. You can be stood waiting for an eternity for them to spot you need to use a serviced checkout and then when they do serve you, no please or thank yous. My transaction this morning was the last straw. The person who eventually served me was so rude I knew I would leaving a bad review. Unfortunately she never wears a name badge, if she had been, I would have named and shamed. Manners cost nothing and I'm sure they wouldn't like me to speak to them in the same tone.

    Good selection of products. Fruit and vegetables are not as good as other supermarkets. Although they offer reduced club card prices, the cost of certain items are still much more expensive then supermarkets nearby.

    The staff are always helpful, friendly and polite and the shop is always clean and tidy. It has a reasonable selection of mainly convenience food and a good selection of drinks, both alcoholic and soft as well as sandwiches and snacks which are always handy at lunchtime.

    You can get most things and its convenient too - great to have a post office there ....most of the staff are very friendly but a few could do with a customer service crash course !!

    Nice little Tesco but I stopped today to buy 4 simple ingredients and they had none, what a waste of journey. I had to travel all the way to Ilkestons main Tesco to get what I wanted. Only plus side, and a two star rating, is because there is a Post Office inside and the staff where apologetic for their shortfall of goods
