   Frustrating Experience Poor Service, Lack of Knowledge, and Unprofessional Behaviour I recently sent a friend into the store with an old oil boiler pump in hand to find a replacement. He showed the part directly to the staff at the counter, yet was bizarrely offered a circulating water pump something entirely different. These are not remotely the same, and it’s shocking that this basic distinction was missed, especially with the old part right there. What made it worse was that the staff member helping us wasn’t new or inexperienced, he was an older gentleman, who I’d expect to know far more than a novice member of the public like myself. I had to go in myself just to explain the difference between an oil pump and a water pump, something I would assume any employee in a heating supply store should be well-versed in. To add to the unprofessionalism, the front doors were already closed not locked, but completely shut even though it wasn’t yet closing time. It was maybe 10 to 15 minutes before 5 p.m. I was called in to clarify something, but had to physically pull the doors apart just to enter. Not exactly welcoming. To top it off, once the confusion was cleared, I was told they had the correct part in stock… but it was broken. At that point, it felt more like I was being messed with than helped. Whether this was carelessness or deliberate, I’ll let management decide — but it certainly didn’t inspire any confidence in the store’s professionalism or customer care.

   Absolutely hate having to come to this place! It’s the head office of the organisation and yet the attitude of the staff is absolutely disgusting! The stock level is normally okay, which is why I have given two stars but this branch could do with sending it staff out to the other branches to learn customer service from the likes of the Downpatrick store.

   Davy did a second delivery of building materials to our home on Thursday past. The turn into our property from the main road is very tight as is the driveway around the house - Davy dropped off the supplies in three different spots and was extremely helpful and obliging. It also turned out that he gave us very sound advice about a drainage problem we were having. Delivery charge was very competitive. All in all Davy / Macblair were well worth this five star rating. Would definitely use MacBlair again.

   Poor service. Rang for price for 16'x 16' of decking and had guy wouldn't work out how many boards I needed.rang Murdocks and Haldane Fisher and they were only to happy to do it and price match if they could..

   Rang in pure panic builder under estimated how many flags we would need to sort our patio. We had originally purchased them in the bangor branch who where fab. The guy Mark was amazing phoned me back within ten mins all sorted despite shortages and we will get them tomorrow. Excellent customer service at it's best.
