   I called in today for the first time in the Lisburn store. The staff are worth their weight in gold in that place. They are very friendly and helpful. Went the extra mile to help me today. For that reason I will be coming back on a more regular basis. They put their competition up the road to shame.

   Just beware when purchasing something of higher value that you may need to return. Mac Blair has a 20% restocking policy which I was not aware of when I spent almost £1000 on patio flags. I paid for the flags in store, all I got was my debit card receipt as proof of purchase (No Ts&Cs). Unfortunately when the flags arrived I quickly realised that they were not going to be suitable for what I wanted and I phoned Mac Blair to see if I could return them, the original guy who answered the phone didn't seem to think there would be any issues. It wasn't until several phone calls later when chasing them up regarding a collection date that I learned of the 20% policy. I said I was happy enough to pay to have them collected but felt that 20% restocking charge was a bit hefty for this purchase when it probably takes as much effort to book them back in to stock on a computer as an item costing £10. Anyway, after a bit of protesting they eventually dropped it to 15% which to me was still unacceptable but I had little option. On all other counts, I can't really fault the staff as they were always friendly and helpful when I called. So, buyer beware when you buy from Mac Blair! Especially if you need to make a return. Following on from this review I was contacted by Mac Blairs Sales Manager, and agreed a more realistic amount for return and restock. Thank you for sorting this out for me and I'm only sorry that it had to take my public review to get satisfaction, so MacBlairs do care. I'm a happy customer.
