   Love fish & chips so decided to treat ourselves for tea. Front of shop is clean & tidy with a large fish tank in the window which is nice to watch whilst waiting for your order. Staff are friendly enough. Lots of choice, prices are competitive but like everywhere prices have gone up. Food is delicious m, would recommend

   Food has gone downhill under the new management. Service is so slow. Waiting half hour for a burger that was like rubber. Atmosphere is dull as well. Doesn't look very clean and prices are extortionate for what the food is worth.

   NO CHIPS! I asked for my usual order, including a large chips. "Gotta wait for chips", said the miserable padded lady. I waited. While I waited, an elderly lady came in and asked for something as simple as fish and chips. "Gotta wait for chips", said the miserable padded lady. She waited. The miserable padded lady started tipping some filth onto grease-proof paper. The elderly lady said "They're not mine, are they?". The miserable padded lady said "No". I asked, "Do you not sell proper chips anymore?". At this, the "Boss" intervened to say that you have to pre-order chips. YOU HAVE TO PRE-ORDER CHIPS IN A CHIPPY!!

   Good food and quick service. Staff are spot on. So much better than the young tattooed girl who ran it before when it was the Tasty plaice .(reason why we stopped using the place as did many others - see my other review for the tasty plaice). Glad it's returned to it's former glory. Go try , you won't be disappointed.

   The lid on the Chicken and mushroom pie was like concrete the inside was stone cold and the chips were still hard in the centre. The lady who started to serve had a very disgusting attitude like it was too much hard work to get the order correct or even be polite. I will never use this shop again and would warn people not to use it,until their staff learn to cook correctly and have better customer service skills.

   I bought pie and chips from Skippys today and the chips were amazing! They were so soft and the pie was perfect! Crispy and piping hot in the middle! Can not recommend the food from this place enough! If you haven’t been yet you definitely need to try the food! They don’t disappoint and the staff are so friendly and welcoming! :)
